I met to assist a friend with an engagement session on a weekend and there were 6 other pro photographers and the groups cluttering up the beach. Because of the internet, there are few "secret spots" left!

There are over 100 stairs to get to this beach, but the privacy and view will be worth it. The main beach in Laguna is too crowded for my taste. Watch out for the seagulls. They stole a tupperware container and flew away with it.

This is one of the best hidden gems for family photos... local photographers use this spot as a background all the time. Beautiful!

This is a popular beach for locals. Spectacular rocky cliffs on all sides; two small coves within a larger cove. The negative: dangerous cross currents and undertow. This is a great beach. I used to bring my kids here when they were younger and they would spend the whole day there. Some of favorite family photos are from this beach. To me, this beach is classic Laguna Beach style.
