If you are staying in La Quinta and just walking around enjoying the small town, then this is worth a stop. It is not a destination museum. Everything is done very well it is just too small for my tastes.

In this small and inviting museum you can see the works close up and take your time with the works and their comments. I just saw the John Muir Beloved Son exhibit and thought it was very complete with a discreet video playing off to the side. A large, patio offers a relaxing sit with a view of the mountains.... Museum quaint and small great gift store w local artists. Exhibits are interesting, staff cordial. Most Friday's during the month there is a art class taught by a local artist. It can be jewelry, collage, mosaics. Ask about it if you visit.

What a great museum. I have been to La Qunita several times at this was my first visit to the museum. Located in Old Town it offers a great glimpse into La Quinta's past. Can't wait to go back the next time I am in La Quinta and see what new exhibits they have!

This small museum in Old Town offers a fascinating glimpse of La Quinta's past. The old photographs of the native Americans and their artwork and the information about the early vacationing Hollywood stars fascinated me. The exhibits and browsing in the gift shop take just the right amount of time for a vacationer to complete. Well done, La Quinta!

What an absolute GEM in the desert. We found our way there after a few minor misses and turns and got there 20 mins before closing time. We were received in with open arms and were given great guidance for an in sight of the past and present of LA QUINTA. The displays are housed in a beautiful setting and... More

Such a quaint little place with fascinating glimpses into the past of the area, based on old movies and home movies. Worth a visit to take you back to times long since gone by, which seniors will just love to reflect about.

Loved visiting this museum! Hidden away in Old Town La Quinta it's worth the visit. Great staff and plenty to see. Thank you Anne Phillips, the Museum Manager for showing us around and telling us all about the museum. Great artifacts and crafts made by local artists. The museum has two floors and is closed on Monday's. We enjoyed the... More
