Beautiful surrounding and frigid lake.

The lake sits right next to beautiful mountains. The lake is shallow and consists of the mountain water. Therefore it is quite cold. I performed a triathlon leg in the lake and it... read more

We had an extra hour one morning last week and decided to hike at the Lake Cahuilla Recreational Area. The trail begins across from the ranger station (opposite the Lake) and is a classic desert hike with easy ups and downs. What makes this hike special are 1. its location; 2. the views of a magnificent private golf course (The... More

This is not a campground, more like a place to park with a tree. Ideal spot for deaf snowbirds as the spaces are close not really any privacy. The plus is it is next to a fishing lake with a nice view in the mountains. Any positives I could write about this place is completely erased by the constant gun... More

I live about a quarter mile from this great space for RV Camping. I am surprised that it isn't always filled in that section with the Snow Birds during the "season." There is hiking and bike riding and fishing.( must have a license for fishing) The lake is about two miles around and many come here to just sit in... More

The lake sits right next to beautiful mountains. The lake is shallow and consists of the mountain water. Therefore it is quite cold. I performed a triathlon leg in the lake and it was 52 degrees on December 6, 2015. There is also a pool and plenty of space for RV's.

Nice scenery. Very interesting. San Andreas fault passes through the area. The oasis is a real surprise out in the dessert with beautiful palms.

We stayed at the RV park for one night this November. The night was beautiful, plenty of space and decent bathrooms etc. Will definitely stay again when we go back in that direction.

We've camped in a lot of beautiful places and live on a huge lake in Idaho so take this with a grain of salt: this is not a pretty spot. It's a small man-made reservoir with some trees and several camping sites but, lush it ain't. Still, if you need a camping place for a night or two and you... More

We like to hike and bike and had a lot of fun over by Lake Cahuilla. Had a little picnic in the day camping area by the lake. It wasn't far from where we stayed in PGA West and it was great to get out in the fresh air.

We just drove out to look around, weren't that impressed, so didn't stay. Maybe another time we'll spend more time to see more of what's available or happening there.

Everyone has their opinion right? Ours, WE LOVED IT. Different sections to camp. You have your Equestrian area, dry camp and you have hook ups in another. Few, full hooks ups. We had the perfect spot. We can have a campfire. No BBQs that I seen, bring one. Restrooms and showers (clean). I noticed the workers cleaning just about every... More
