I don't imagine that I would spend a ton of time here, but it was a great short stop on the beach trolley tour I took. I enjoyed seeing the monument and checking out the views from the surrounding areas. They have someone on sight to answer questions. The views are outstanding and the monument itself is pretty cool.

This memorial is one of the best I have seen by far. Not only is it a beautiful homage to our vets but you can see all of San Diego from there. It was breathtaking. I never wanted to leave.

We spent an hour here after dinner one night. The most gorgeous sunset - and some geocaching for our 12 year old!

Unexpected finding of a memorial to famous WWII veterans. And it is a great panoramic view of the area.

We visited Mount Soledad at sunset. It was stunning. We stayed until just after sunset. Bring a camera you will want to capture the point where the city and water meet the sky. After sunset we read the memorials of the brave heros. Overall excellent trip.

Our group decided to see Mount Soledad Memorial during a recent trip and it was worth the visit. A moving memorial with great views of the ocean. There is some limited parking right at the base in addition to the lot down the hill so if you are lucky you can park right next to the memorial.

We visited Mount Soledad during a stay in La Jolla last Summer. It was a great side trip! We spent about 40 minutes reading the memorials of our heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Very heart-warming. There was some controversy over the large cross on site. I certainly hope that this is issue has been resolved. It... More

Mt. Soledad is a memorial to those who served our country. Some gave their lives in battle, some died peacefully. A moving memorial in a beautiful site.

Soledad Mountain is at the top of La Jolla residential area. The drive up to and back from Soledad Mountain provides many scenic spots as well as a tour through some of the most beautiful homes and landscaping I have seen. Of course once you reach the mountain top, the vistas are spectacular. I would guess a great place to... More
