Great views

A bit windy every time I was there but the views are worth it. You will love the panoramic views of the area. Make sure you enjoy the rest of La Jolla while there.

You really get to understand San Diego from here - from Mexico to downtown and Point Loma through La Jolla Shores, Miramar MCAD to Torrey Pines. Wouldn't try to bicycle up, but bicycling down must be fun.

This place is a Gem! Beautiful views, you can see for miles in all directions. Very nicely done with a military monument and memorial at the top of the mountain that pay tribute to local people who served in all branches of the military in every war.

We walked on a bit of a treacherous trail to the west, got positioned on a small hill on the cliff side and enjoyed a wonderful view of LaJolla and the ocean. Loved it...wondered how many people really know about it.

I live near Mount Soledad and have visited there many times. If we are having a clear day in San Diego you will have a wonderful view of the city and the ocean. There is also a war memorial there with photos of the many men and women who have served our country. This is a quick stop and worthwhile... More

Accidentally stumbled onto this place when I got slightly lost trying to find the dry cleaners. Took at left off Torrey Pines Rd onto E. Roseland Drive and climbed...climbed...climbed. Hopped onto Hidden Valley Rd then Via Capri which took me right by the Cross. Such a beautiful but mega steep drive. Highly recommend for those visiting La Jolla for a... More

Regardless of your religious preferences, ignore all the controversy surrounding the cross and just go for the views of San Diego, especially at sunset.

A military memorial site worth visiting. Gives a visitor cause for reflection of all of the soldiers, sailors and airmen who have served out great country.

Highly recommend this place to get a unique and awesome view from a high point in La Jolla. Didn't know it existed and was recommended by a local. Spectacular views of the ocean, la jolla, north up the coast, east into the city, and south down the coast.
