Had a picnic on the top of the mountain, and it was amazing! Great views of the ocean, and a lot of grass to walk around or to settle down. Not many picnic tables, so you'll likely have to bring your own blanket. Just remember this place is self sufficient. No gift shops, no attendants, no food stands, and only... More

There's been a few reinventions of this place as the legal battles have been waged between atheists, who think the cross is a religious symbol, and historians who say you can't separate the reality of our roots, as we were founded and settled by Latin Catholics who staked that emblem identity. Nonetheless, really beautiful view of San Diego. More

Wonderful, wonderful location. Brings a sense of connectivity and appreciation to everything God has created. You can truly appreciate nature from this view because it looks over all of San Diego. That's about all I can say ... touring this memorial and seeing faces, dates and information on people that served our country truly humbled me. This is truly a must see. Do not miss it, the view is spectacular as well. More

Mount Soledad separates La Jolla and Pacific Beach, and from the top of this mountain you have a gorgeous panoramic view of LJ, PB, Mission Bay and some of the canyons in the area.
