Went to the La Jolla Playhouse for the first time the other night, saw the play the Orphan of Zhao. The Playhouse itself is easy to get to and the parking is very affordable, only $2.00 for the entire night. There isn't a bad seat in the theater. The only drawback I had was that we were not notified that... More

This place is super fun and intimate. Always a big hit with the wife when I buy tickets and plan a nice date around it. Awesome actors and super close to the action. Not a bad seat in the house!

We bought our tickets before arriving in San Diego, the play was ok , the staff very welcoming and I don't think there is one bad seat in this theatre. The jersey Boys made their debut here and so many other plays. Parking a mere $2. per car and there is plenty of it but do come early. Next time... More

You have to pick and choose your plays, but when there's a good one there, you will enjoy great theatre and reasonably priced tickets. In addition, there isn't a bad seat in the house.

There are 3 theaters at the Playhouse on the UCSD campus. My personal favorite is the newest black box theater - The Potiker. Each season promises quality performances - something for everyone!

Love theater??? Get tickets!! First rate theater company that sends MANY shows to Broadway. Rarely any deals, but can save money on matinees. Worth every penny.

I have been a season ticket holder at the La Jolla Playhouse for years. I love their innovation and many of their productions have landed on Broadway. Jersey Boys, Tommy, How to Succeed in Business- are just a few that have been favorite musicals that were debuted at LPJ. Some of the best productions ever included, I am my Own... More

The night we attended a new play " Chasing a song" was in production. The quality was amazing, the music and acting, for the most part, superb. After the performance, there was an audience discussion- only the third night that has occurred as the play was being further developed. Great intimate environment for theatre going.

Jersey Boys started in this playhouse. They generally have very high quality productions, in a pretty small playhouse. Check out their last-minute deals or other options for a discount.
