We've visited the UCSD campus on our own before (and attended a class during the Spring quarter) but this time was able to sign-up for the Triton Tour for prospective students. Upon registering for the tour, we received a confirmation email which also mentioned that on-campus guest housing through UCSD Conference Services could be arranged during the summer (for up... Since I graduated in 78, they have been building more and more buildings -- dang I got lost. It was a great education and it has opened many doors for me.

As UCSD is my alma mater, I'm a bit biased...but I can't deny the campus is spacious and beautiful...The Stuart Art Collection, various works of modern art, is incorporated throughout the campus which would make the campus visit interesting to a visitor...few demerits for difficult (and expensive) parking situation...

A beautiful campus compared to many others. Mixed architecture, the curious artistic addition to an engineering building (a house precariously perched on top of engineering building), several wonderful theaters, and a large outdoor concert arena.

I was fortunate to teach various courses on this magnificent campus over the years. It has always been a fairly large campus but like most other higher learning institutions it has grown considerably as time passed, and monetary and other circumstances changed. The University is proud of its place of distinction in a large number of research areas but it... More

The UCSD campus is huge. I believe it is the largest in land size of all the UC's in California. There are bike and walking trails all over campus. The Price Center is a great place to have lunch- small food court. The pool is a great place for lap swim- they allow visitors to use the pool when they... More

We visited the campus last week for freshman orientation. The campus is beautiful! And the fact it is in the local vicinity of the beach doesn't hurt either! UCSD offers such a variety of options, both academic and social.

I absolutely love coming to UCSD. My boyfriend goes here and every time I visit I am reminded of how much I like this university. The campus is large and great for exploring. Very green with beautiful trees everywhere. There's also some great architecture and the location is impeccable - a few minutes from the beach. Great for going on... More
