I would have loved to attend UCSD I was in college, but that was n the distant past. A nice little detour from La Jolla.

UCSD is a visual treat. First, there is the stunning Geisel Library in the central campus. Adjacent to it is the Price Center which houses a variety of eateries and shops to serve the campus community. Since research is one of the primary goals of the University, new facilities are constantly being added around campus. Scripps Institute of Oceanography is... More

USD is a beautiful campus up on the hill. It is peaceful - yes I realize that is an oxymoron: University and Peaceful; but I swear it is just that. Architecture is beautiful Spanish style and new buildings gently blend with the old. Views are plenty. There is a great restaurant on campus open to visitors.

we have visited LA,Berkely, Davis, Irvine and SD with my daughter for her university acceptance and UCSD stands out among the rest. near the beach, decent quiet neighborhood and the campus feel is wide open and not crowded and theres plenty of places to visit near the university.

UCSD's location adjacent to the most expensive area in San Diego (La Jolla Farms - house prices $3-11 million overlooking the Pacific Ocean) add to the stunning architecture and landscaping that can be found on campus. It is a visual example of what money can buy!

I was there for a summer camp. Loved the campus, very modern and filled with beautiful glass buildings, with the unique library standing out.

This school touts its high ratings and devotion to research, but that's about all it has going for it. The students are mostly half stupid and yet everyone pretends as though it is the greatest place in San Diego. I value the education, but the other aspects of the school are significantly overrated.

It is impressive to everybody I have brought here. It's a very large campus. Huge bookstore, lots of eateries, and absolutely terrific library. Getting around campus is easy enough as there is a shuttle. Also theatre and music events are the best! Not too mention UCSD has an impressive medical research facility as well as oceanography facility.

UCSD is the most impressive campus we've visited. Our list includes Standford, Cal, UCLA, UCSB, MIT and several other popular schools. The views of the mountains, the valleys, and the ocean are amazing. Don't miss: The Giesel Library (take the snake path), the Roots restaurant (vegan but you wouldn't know it), the house balancing on top of the Jacob's engineering... More

Typical university campus. I went here to visit my niece and she gave us a whirlwind tour of the campus. It's a sprawling campus so walking should be done by intrepid walkers only. The campus is actually in La Jolla, about 25 minutes north of San Diego. The best thing about the campus is the Bistro Cafe. The food is... More
