Best playground for kids

We take our little one here on a regular basis, the park is well kept and tons of cool stuff for the kids to do

This is a really nice old spot in 'old' La jolla. Situated between The Bishops' School and the Catholic church, it occupies a warm spot in most La Jollan's heart

This play ground is in a lovely spot, but desperately needs some shady place spaces and some updating (a few playground items are broken).

The rec center has a wide array of playground equipment for children, and well-maintained, very popular tennis courts for teens and adults. Numerous classes take place in the rec center itself. It is conveniently located across from the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the beach is just a couple blocks west of this facility.

They provide balls for children to play, have good bathrooms, a large grassy area, playgrounds, basketball courts, handball courts, and a tennis club. It is all free (not sure about the tennis part).

Just a couple blocks west of Girard on Prospect, the rec center is a great place to hang out and give the kids a break. Soda machines, bathrooms, play equipment, and grass areas also give the parents a break!

As a kid in the 70s used to come here and trade in my shoes for a ball or a knock hockey game and play to our heart's content. Seems to have changed very little. Still has a bunch of activities for kids. Two excellent playgrounds one for littler kids and one for bigger. Basketball courts and a playing field.... More

Great place for kids to burn off a little energy. I've met folks from back east, colorado, and all over San Diego. I feel the whole county is aware at what a great little park and rec center it is.

It was to my surprise to find the La Jolla Rec. Center because it's so close to home. It has a very nice playground for my toddler as well as a playground for slightly older kids in busy downtown La Jolla. My only complaint is that parents should leave their cell phones home while they are at the playground with... More
