Beach, rocks, great waves, and premium surfers. People come from all over to shoot Christmas cards here.

This beach is indeed windy. But the wind feels great on a hot beach day. The surfers that collect there are talented and interesting to watch in action. But the most important point of this review is that this beach is GORGEOUS!

Beautiful sandy beaches where the locals & surfer hang out. My husband proposed to me at this location so it will always be one of my most favorite place in SD. There's ample street parking.

This is a nice place to come stroll in the evening to see the sunset. It is the typical southern California beach scene. It is fun to watch people hanging out on the beach.

We drove along the coast stopping at most of the beaches. They were all lovely, this one especially. Lots of little streets with unique houses make it a great place to stroll around. If you surf you'll be in heaven.

Crazy surf! It's fun to watch. It's a gorgeous beach and there are very nice houses nearby. Great section of La Jolla.

If you are into Surfing and surf lore, this is a must visit. Not a beginners beach to learn how to surf. Try La Jolla shores for that. Big surf and fast rides when things are cranking. Locals use to be hostile to outsiders but those were the days when La Jolla was a Village and not the mega bucks... More

and i went there in my youth all the time. it used to be secluded. can't say how populated it is now. the swimming is rough but the beach is just beautiful. and the view spectacular. start your walk here and walk to the cove. my memories are the finest.
