While in the area, my husband just had to check out Torrey Pines. Beautiful course owned by the City of San Diego with a fabulous beach view. There were hundreds of people playing the course while we were there. Very crowded. The pro shop had everything imaginable, shirts by every major company and for everyone. Great souvenir spot. Staff wasn't... More

Torrey Pines South has hosted numerous major golf championships and an annual PGA tournament, but nothing prepares you for the beauty of the course. Playing along the Pacific coast is a picturesque experience. It is a very user friendly course and offers a variety of tees for every level of golfer. A once in a lifetime experience.

We just went to look at it and visit the golf shop. Gorgeous views, beautiful greens, friendly staff. My hubby hopes to someday play a round there one day.

Spectacular scenery on both North and South with many fantastic photo opportunities. North played tougher than south, although greens had been sanded day before on South which would have contributed to this. Much better value than Pebble Beach and all staff from the starter, clubhouse to pro shop made you feel very welcome.

If you follow golf, you know Torrey Pines. You can play it if you reserve tee times in advance. The views of the Pacific are as spectacular as Pebble Beach. The pro shop is opened to the public. Definitely a souvenir stop.

A perfect golfing experience on a perfectly maintained course. Had advance tee time booked one month early, check the course website for the rules in advance. A schedule change created the necessity to try to tee off early. I arrived as a single walk up at 8:30. I was added to a group to play with and teed off within... More

We played the north course in April. Mostly flat course, only a couple hills. Cool temps and windy. A couple of very scenic holes overlooking La Jolla Shores. Several hang gliders close by and almost overhead. Cool place. Very large pro shop with lots of apparel. Great food at the restaurant.

We played the north course first, which I would recommend. A little easier than the south and a bit shorter. Both are a challenge and beautiful vistas. A must for every golfer.

We didn't have reservations but were able to walk-on the course. We're not good golfers (actually we're pretty awful golfers) but we had a wonderful time (us and boys ages 13 and 12). The course is gorgeous. The views are stunning. It was a bit windy so I had to buy a Torrey Pines pullover. The pro shop is huge... More

We wanted to stop at this iconic golf course and we were glad we did. We wandered along the front of the course, then took in The Lodge. Of course, we had to see the pro shop and we weren't disappointed. The doorman who stands outside the beautiful stained glass windows and doors was sporting a kilt and was adorable.... More
