Stayed at lodge and walked down at 6:30 paid $75/ person plus $25 for the cart and went off at 7:00 with 2 locals - no pressure in back groups. Course is in great shape and got done in 1:45.

Round was not what I expected from such a noted course. It took us 5 1/4 hours to play 18 holes, no ranger in sight and starter was wearing jeans!!! Course conditions were only average with sand traps lacking sand and greens needing a heavy top dressing. Views are nice but was disappointing overall.

Played the north. Pricey. Helpful staff. Ocean holes and front nine very nice. Some holes stunning even. Back nine pretty average. Overall I'm glad I played it. BTW, the rough was brutal. I think they should cut it down, after all you've got mostly average players out there. I think it added up to the four hr forty five minutes... More

Truly one of the great golfing experiences! Played the South course and hope to be back to play the North course in the future. Some golf courses are built on amazing properties where the views are spectacular and your memory of playing the course is more based on these views than the quality of the course itself. Torrey Pines South... More

This course is on the cliffs above blacks Beach in San Diego the views are awesome and both courses are very tough and can be hard to get onto So make a reservation .They play many professional tournaments here so it's not a place to try your hand at a new sport. The pro shop and cafe are awesome and... More

Played both North and South Course last week and although both are amazingly beautiful, South definitely is my favorite of the 2. North has its good views but South course, every hole is just breathtaking and I was just in awe every single time. Of course the hang gliders make it as much fun because as I was playing golf... Liked the views, didn't like the price of the golf and then had to pay $40 more for the cart. The traps were not sandy, they were hard pan.
