Avoid the North Course completely. Its a goat track with the only positive being bunkers that are in good shape. Otherwise its nondescript 400 yrd par 4 after nondescript 400 yrd par 4. The South is much better but if you're an out of towner not worth the $300 (after booking fees and cart). Its a been there, done that... More

If you want to play either the South course (US Open) or the North course, get to the pro shop by 12 noon and add your name to the walk up list. You can ask the starter how busy it looks, however, to play during twilight, you wont have a problem getting on as a single. The South course front... More

I didn't walk around much as I would have liked, but purchased some great stuff from the Pro Shop and walked the first nine holes. It's worth a small trip if you've never been there.

Either course is always in great shape. But try both, each is different and challenging. Sometimes hard to get on without at least a 2 week reservation. A little pricey for non California residents.

Perfect climate, great history, manicured and fair (if not easy). Caddies were a big help and highly recommended.

Nothing to dislike. Played both courses on two different days. Played shots I have watched on TV with the likes of Michelson, Woods, Palmer, Nickalaus, etc. The view was distracting on some holes because of the beauty. What a well done track. From what I understand, North course is going to be redone by Michelson next year. I am in... More

Played the north course. Expected the course to be more challenging. If you are a good golfer the course is more challenging because the winds off the Pacific Ocean will come into play. The greens are the most challenging part of the course. Beautiful views and very well kept for a municipal course.

This is a tricky course because of the constant Pacific breeze from the west. The course is perched high on the cliffs above arguably one of the best beaches in North America. To add to the already amazing views, you will likely see para-sailors from the nearby glide port. This public course hosts major tournaments and is very popular with... More

I loved this place so much! We played the North Course which was reasonably priced even considering the $43 advance booking fee. The course was in excellent condition and the weather was fantastic! The rough wasn't too penal which kept traffic moving quite smoothly, we completed our round in 4.5 hours. The best part was getting your name announced on... More

played the north course and it was plenty challenging for this 11 handicap player. Great views on plenty of holes but 5 or 6 were just ok muni types
