We took used the local bus system to visit this golfing shrine. Even though we didn't have our clubs it was a great place to visit just to admire the views. This is a puplic course and locals can play the course for as little as $37.00 for a twilight time. Non-resident fees were $183.00 weekday, $229.00 weekend and $110.00... More

We played the north course and it certainly didn't disappoint. We walked up and got on the list. It wasn't 45 minutes before we teed off with another couple. The course was in good shape, very fair and spectacular views! Love it!

I don't play golf, but was able to get a golf cart tour of both courses. What a beautiful place! I can't believe how hard it must be to play golf there. We ate at the Grill and were pleasantly surprised by the excellent food quality!

This is a public course where the Pros play one of their events in February. There is a South and North Course. We played the North course and it has amazing views of the ocean and it was in great shape. The rough here is very tough and demanding and will test your game, so try to stay in the... More

South Course hosts US Opens, North Course a shorter version of the South. Outstanding tracks and they are public and priced very reasonably. I'd rather play Torrey Pines than Pebble Beach. A wonderful place.

If you haven't played Torey Pines - plan for a day on the south or north course and enjoy a fantastic course and views that are stunning. Don't forget to eat before or after on the lodge at Torey pines- killer location, great service and a fantastic food. You'll enjoy a day playing like the locals.

I don't know of a more beautiful "public" golf course anywhere. The key word here is PUBLIC...You should make your tee time a week in advance. Prices are moderate but worth every penney
