I don't play golf, but I know a gorgeous golf course when I see one. It actually is a city golf course up on the cliffs over the ocean, and one of the courses used in the Masters.

I grew up walking and playing this course and it's rather special. Not only do you feel the spirits of professional golfers that continue to play the course but there's a little known secret that when your near the cliff edge of the courses you can look down and see Black's Beach - an unofficial nude beach but don't tell... This is truly the best public golf course ever! If you golf, you must play in these amazing lush groomed fairways. The views and quality here are hard to beat. It is home to the Farmers Insurance Open, but really just a great place to play. Monday, driving range closed. Golf shop and resturant nice.

2 courses - the south is where they have played the US Open - and is long and tough - can't play 9 - only 18. The North is shorter, not easier, but you can play 9. Very challenging greens.

This is a beautiful course, but for the $200 +geen fees one would expect working marshalls to keep the pace of play going. And how about water in the ball washers? This is a glorified municipal course with excessive green fees and outrageous $40 per person booking fees! There are better places to play where one can get the expected... More

As a non San Diego resident single golfer you'll need to show up before 5:30 am to get in line and get on the standby list to play. You should get out before 8:00. That's the only way to play since they don't book tee times for non resident singles. Other than that, the course was amazing. I played the... More

A great golf course, in fact both 18's are right up there with the best. I played this several years ago and it was right after the tour event so it was in magical condition. If you're in the area it's well worth playing. Steve North

I played the North Course a couple of days ago, and the course was in excellent shape. The views are great, and the employees are friendly. For San Diego residents the best time to play is Monday-Thursday, when green fees are $27.00. A cart is extra, but the North Course can be walked by fit people. There is a nice pro... More
