We didn't visit long but the beach was beautiful and well taken care of. There is a fee for parking unless you can find additional parking somewhere else and walk the distance. Very nice facilities for restrooms. (For those concerned with the fires: There was a little smoke smell in the air but the wind kept most of the smoke... More

A favorite place for me to spend a couple of hours laying on the sand and floating in the shallow warm water. Drive to this beach is only an hour from my home. Even though this is a very popular area , there always seems to be a perfect spot for me to set up my blanket and my beach... More

Kings Beach, apocryphally won by Joe King in a poker game early in the twentieth century, has seen vast improvements over the last twenty years. There is now a pleasant park with restrooms, a basketball court, and a kiddie playground. Friday night's in summer there is free music. During the high season, when it's sweltering in the valleys, there's no... More

It's a shallow beach so people can walk out very far, lot of small rocks, good and fun for kids, scenery is ok. Look like lot of activities. Parking is $10/day and shortest distance from I-80

This is an easily accessible beach in Kings Beach at north Lake Tahoe. Lovely vews of the lake and mountains. The water was very cold (in June), but very blue--sandy beach easy to walk on. Picnic tables in the shade.

We had some relatives visiting from Hong Kong and had never gotten a good look at Lake Tahoe. After a stop at the pioneer museum, we headed out around the lake and stopped in Kings Beach. They were able to take pictures and enjoy a stroll around the lake. This is an ideal spot because you can see across the... More

Great beach. Ice cold lake water. Beautiful views. Friendly local people. You can spend an entire day here, or just a few hours. Either way you'll leave feeling refreshed and renewed.

Very People-friendly with a variety of activities to participate in, kayak rentals, etc. A nice playground is there for children. The quality of the sand is questionable. It is within walking distance to eateries, coffee, souvenir shops. Evey year they host a fireworks display on July 3rd.,

i loooved this beach. i'm from sf and i went to tahoe two weekends in a row to enjoy their beaches. this was by far my favorite because the sand didn't hurt to walk on unless it was burning hot and the lake was perfect! i love fresh water so it was great playing in it without worrying about salt...
