Where else can you swim with ducks next to canoers???

I enjoyed swimming next to ducks, falling pine cones, and canoers, water was cold but refreshing. A couple days later, I went to Long Beach, New York and the water was actually warmer at Lake Tahoe.

A beach with a lot activities to do or just lie on the beach. You can rent kayaks, paddle boats, and jet skis. Even in drought conditions the beach is very inviting. The only downside is the cleanliness of the restroom facilities. We were fortunate to be in a cabin that we could walk to the beach. The lot appears... More

The view was gorgeous, but parking was hard to come by. Yes there were public facilities, but they were not clean at all. The beach was littered with trash and broken glass in places. There were unleashed dogs and throngs of people. Granted we were there in tourist season, but I really wish we skipped this beach and drove a... More

Brought our crew of 3 teens and 1 pre-teen here for the 3rd of July fireworks. The beach was relaxed, comfortable, and ably gorgeous. The kids spent the day in the water with inner tubes and paddles that we brought with us. Bringing your own equipment isn't necessary as there are lots of water sport rentals right on the beach... Kings Beach is clean and children friendly. Alcohol is allowed on this beach. Beautiful views and clear water. To enhance the experience, jet ski rentals and parasailing is available. There are multiple restaurants the line the adjacent street. Portable potty is all that's available facility wise. We chose to get a drink on the patio of one of establishments and... More

A great spot to spend a few hours - on the beach, swimming, on a pedalo, walking or in the excellent children's' play area. Beautiful view point across the lake, whether a sunny clear day or a day of dark clouds and thunderstorms (we experienced both!).

I visit King's Beach every year as a part of a cycling century (100 miles) around Lake Tahoe. They always have the lunch stop at Kings Beach and we get to see how far we have come (65 miles by then). King's Beach is simply beautiful. You can play on the beach, swim, rent kayaks or standup paddle boards or... More

North Lake Tahoe boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the world! King's Beach sits almost directly at the top of the lake. It is much quieter than South Lake Tahoe. It's very reminiscent of how things used to be. Very peaceful.

This beach on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe is worth the drive. A whole different perspective of the lake from here. Can be popular even with locals so arrive early. Clean, nice and wide. If you can check out Crystal Cove via a kayak. Paddle through and around the boulders was fun. The water is so clear.

This area was great to visit and overlook the Lake. We enjoyed the concert on the beach on Friday night. The views were just spectacular. They have a great little play area for the kids.
