I loved this beach! The only thing I wish was it was dog friendly. The beach itself is not though they have a designated area further down it isn't what I would call a beach. That is all rocks and boulders and not very fun while there was plenty of sand and non rocky places for a dog to play.... More

We enjoyed our visit to Kings beach. Plenty of parking, Easy to find. Construction work in town underway. Nearby rentals, Clean bathrooms. Most of all, an uncluttered view of the entire lake. Absolutely beautiful.

In summer, thee is so much going on here, from art shows, to free concerts on the beach on Thursday nights, to festivals, such as the tahoe Nalu paddle board competition. There is a beautiful beach, playground areas, and a rental kiosk for kayaking, paddle boarding, quadra cycle, sailboats, scenic guided tour around the lake, and parasailing. Time spent here... More

Kings Beach was beautiful, but rocky due to low water level. There was a great park with outdoor slides safe for toddlers.

Don't expect to find Southern California beaches in Lake Tahoe. If that is your goal then you should go to elsewhere. But we have young children so the goal is enough simple diversions and Kings Beach met our requirements. First, the cold hard reality: they charge you $10 to park and there is another beach closer to town that is... More

Whenever we stay in Tahoe City, we drive up to Kings Beach. It is SO beautiful...the clear, blue water surrounded by alpine mountains, the soft, sandy beach, the picnic areas. The surrounding community is a little dumpy but we don't feel unsafe and there are cute stores around too. Sometimes it's pretty windy...but that's what you get at many beaches.... More

This lake is sooo cold! However, I love the beach here, but not much to do in the winter except dip your feet into the icy water. Oh, there is also the gorgeous view of the lake and surrounding mountains. And like the rest of Tahoe, plenty of photo backdrops.

No matter how many people are out enjoying the sun or the water, it is worth a walk on this beach. iT's well maintained. I know it says no dogs, but many people ignore that and the dogs are always having fun too.

Kings Beach State Park is perfect for kayaking, paddle boards, swimming or picnics. Rocks off shore are intriguing. Restaurants, playground nearby.

The centerpiece of Kings Beach is this delightful area in the center of town. If the large fee-required parking lot fills up it is relatively easy to find roadside parking throughout nearby neighborhoods. There is a pier, a boat launching ramp, plenty of clean sand to spread a blanket on, a watersports concession with boat ,kayak, paddle boards, and wave runner... More
