This place is around a 20 min trip from Karuizawa station. There are free buses for Hoshino Area which can used. Unfortunately the frequency of these busses is less. The church is beautiful and the stone architecture makes it look more lovely. It's unique structure makes all the difference. There is lot of serenity and the ambience was wonderful. Worth... More

It was NOT walkable in the snow at all! We took the advice of the lady in the Tourist office at the station and got a cab there for 1000 yen. Thereafter discovered that the Hoshino Resort area had a free shuttle to & from Karuizawa station so we hustled to get that free ride back based on the bus... More

This is one of the recommended attractions in Karuizawa. The best way to get there is to get the free shuttle bus from the Prime Outlet area. The drive on the way to the church is scenic and it is located atop a hill. On arrival to the property there is a main parking area with buildings located at the... More

We took a while to find this stone church - our own misguided sense of direction - but once we did we were really happy we did. Not being particularly religious, it was a surprise to find ourselves (3 kids, aged 9, 12, 13) sitting for an extended period just soaking up the atmosphere. The open air roof and the... More

We were fortunate enough to arrive at this beautiful stone church just as a couple was getting married. It was a beautiful ceremony and we were allowed to enter when wedding was over. Beautiful feel with all the stone rock. Simply stunning (even in the rain)!

The Church is so pure and natural! When u sitting there, u will feel that u are being wrapped by the sunlight. It's so peaceful. And just take about 8 mins walk, you can reach Karuizawa Kogen Church, is nice. They are located in the forest, the surrounding area made u feel energize. Must go !

This is one of THE places for Japanese to get married. Located within he Hoshino area and attached to Blestoncourt hotel. It is worth a visit for the architecture, mood and also it gives an insight into the Japanese marriage. If the church is closed, turn left and walk around it anyway. The architect is American.

This a must see! The church is so cool and was uniquely designed. It includes the history of the church in the basement.

My sister's wedding was held here and it was beautiful. The inside of the church is very simple in style, which suited us well, and the surrounding area is very green.

Worth a visit in particular during day with sunshine. The sunlight shined through the window made a beautiful and romantic scene inside the church.
