Drove myself there from Karuizawa. It was a 30minutes hilly drive before we reach it entrance. Visited there when the whole place is covered in snow. The waterfall was clear and very beautiful. Surrounding area was also very beautiful with tall trees covered in white. There was a small shop with toilet at the entrance. 30 minutes stays will be... More

Staying in Tokyo. Took a trip out to visit the falls along with Mt Fuji. It's definitely something different from being in the city. The falls look great. To reach the falls there's a long flight of stairs down. But, it's well worth it. Don't mistake it for the smaller one. Not too sure what it is called. But there's... More

Small falls, not really worth it. Interesting to see the water flowing from the hill. Nice pond, crystal clear water. You will need to walk 200 yards from the parking, just fine. However if you dont have plenty of time, just skip it.

OK waterfall, not as grand as I thought it would be. Stop by and take photos for 5 minutes is enough for this place.

Arrived on the first day of lightening the falls followed by a laser show. It was amazing .. the falls were changing colors from blue to white and so on.. the falls are spread over in a curve .. a short drive from city but a great place to have soothing view with a cool breeze..

One of the pleasant sight in karuizawa us to visit shiraito waterfall. You would love this place by its silent nature.

The pictures that I saw on the internet before going made it seem like this was an out of the way, picturesque area in the middle of nature...haha, nope, guess I should have looked at a few more pictures. Despite being a huge local tourist attraction however, complete with stores and restaurants, the falls themselves were still beautiful and we... More

If you've been to waterfalls a lot in the past and have bathed in them..you'll be disappointed with not being able to do so in this. It was too shallow and people would think you're nuts. The falls were beautiful, even though they were just about 2-3 meters high. It is rather wide spanning about 70 meters. Very cool atmosphere.... More
