This is the same as the "Dazu Rock Carvings Museum" listing on TA. An amazing collection of buddhist imagery from the 1200s. Excellent carvings and statues, very striking after all these years. I really enjoyed it.

It's about 2½ hours from the city of Chongqing but worth the visit. You really need an experienced guide to tell you about the carvings (fascinating stories) otherwise you lose 80% of the reason for going - although they are impressive on their own. I only went to one of the 40 or so sites. On hindsight, I would have... More
