The journey to the waterfall was suggested as a day trip by a beach vendor and her sister whom I had come to know. Great suggestion too. The trip was by tuk tuk and took 30-40 minutes at a cost of $30.00. The last part of the tuk tuk ride was on a long, bumpy, dusty dirt road so be... More

We visited here in march 2015. The road to waterfalls is dusty so make sure the clothes you wear are not your favorite! During the whole time we were there, no other turists, just locals having a picnic and swimming. They don't care about keeping the place clean so it's full of trashes. So sad 😢 The waterfalls itself was... More

Kbal Chhay is still a locals relaxation place and that's great! Unlike the beaches this place is not 'tainted' by Western influences, or better said, spoiled to please western tourists. No annoying loud music and 'booze cruisers'. The water is cool and clear. during the rainy season the waterfall is amazing, but turns into a insignificant drizzle during the dry... More

When you are bored of laying on the beach, this is worth a visit. The falls are pretty and fun to hike around. My husband and I spent a couple of hours here. It is about a 30 minute tuktuk ride from town and didn't cost much.

Went here in November 2014 and loved it. The waterfall was flowing quite fast and was a great place to cool down. There are little huts with hammocks that u can use and just take in some local culture. Would definetly recommend for a day trip or a few hours of chilling out away from the beach

We saw the Kbal Chhay Waterfall while taking a day tour with Woody's (see also review for Woody's). It was the best way to not only see the waterfall, but explore for miles around the waterfall. Also, with Woody and Nigel as local guides, it added more texture and interest to the visit. We visited the waterfalls, drove in our... More

$1 entry. The falls are beautiful and very nice for photos. You can see many locals playing in the water which is a neat cultural experience. There are local food vendors at the entrance with cheap delicious food. Many locals rent a little hammock area for $5 (whether you stay an hour or a day) and spend the day with... More
