Hey I know this is a third world country but this beach is dirty. Only swam once, got out when unidentified brown bits of substance went past. Beach is strewn with rubbish, it's especially bad around the warf. Having said that there are lots of great places to eat and drink, but anyone who thinks this is a nice beach... More

The beach and the water were quite dirty. You get hassled to go into different restaurants and there are tons of kids/people trying to sell you stuff. Otres Beach is much cleaner, nicer, less busy and less of a hassle! More

A nice place for a swim but you are hassled non-stop by vendors and when you leave you do not feel that they appreciate your custom. They seem to be out solely to take your money - then there are the irritating tuk tuk drivers who do not stop harrassing you. OK for a day or two but no more.... More
