Owner description: Landmark Vineyards was founded in 1974 in Windsor, CA and in 1989 relocated to Kenwood, CA on a spectacular piece of land at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Landmark specializes in premium Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Rhône wines such as Syrah and Grenache from the best vineyards in Sonoma County and California. Our Steel Plow Estate wines use organic farming practices and are pesticide free. The tasting room menu is always changing and we offer winery tours by appointment only. Most Saturdays we feature complimentary horse drawn vineyard tours so bring a picnic and enjoy the beautiful gardens or a game of bocce.

I love Pinot Noir and this vineyard specializes in Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. Had a great tasting of single vineyard wines. Prices were reasonable and like other places, waived the tasting fee for my friend and I after I made one purchase. Also after signing up for the wine club, I received a discount applied to my purchase right away.

My husband and I stayed in the cottage right in the middle of the landmark vineyards. The place is very neatly kept and the visit turned to be a perfect getaway for us. The fog and the drizzle added colors to the gorgeous vineyard. We had searched for a couple of places overlooking the vineyard before booking a reservation here.... More

nice grounds but of the 7 wineries I visited between Napa and Sonoma this was by far my least favorite. The grounds are very nice but for our tasting fee I would have expected the same size pour as the others we visited. Not the case. Barely 1 sip in each pour. Also place was busy and they kept rushing... More

We made a reservation for a sit-down wine and cheese pairing. Even though the wine is a little out of my confort price point, I walked away with two bottles and cannot wait to buy cheese for my next dinner party. Our server was excellent and steered us in different directions based on the likes and dislikes of the four... More

This place hooked us with their pinots last year. We came in for a 6 flight tasting of one of their chards this year and we even rented their guest cottage for 5 days. Sitting on the front porch sipping wine as the sun goes down and the full moon rises. You can't beat the beauty of their grounds and... More

Nice low key winery, beautiful gardens, genuinely friendly people, and, need I add, excellent wine! We are locals, and it is our favorite vineyard around. At the foot of the gorgeous Adobe Canyon Road, with Sugarloaf Park at the other end. Can't have a better Wine Country experience than a nice hike in Sugarloaf's hills and creeks, followed by wine... This was our favorite stop in Napa and Sonoma on our recent Labor Day trip! The wine was excellent, the grounds are beautiful and our wine "tour guide" Paul was an absolute pleasure! From the history of the vinyard, to wine tasting notes and pairings, he was fantastic. He also suggested several other wineries and his suggestions topped our list... More

We stayed at the Landmark Vineyard at the end of a month in California. It was a superb setting for our last day and evening. Sonoma is a must see location. Our stay included a tour and tasting, both of which were excellent. Our room was perfect with a stunning area to enjoy our complimentary bottle of wine overlooking the... More

We stayed here for one night and was the perfect base for visiting the local vineyards. Had enjoyed the personal tour and lovely tasting. The room was fantastic, after 5pm we were the only people on the vineyard, we played balls (on our personal court) and walk through the vines. Along with enjoying a bottle of the best Pinot Noir... Of course, the wines were good. They choose them. As do all wineries. Our server (sommelier?) had a good amount of information, but he seemed a little tired of saying it. And this was the one winery where buying wine, ordering a glass after the tasting, and joining their wine club were stressed the most. I would buy a few... More
