Nice low key winery, beautiful gardens, genuinely friendly people, and, need I add, excellent wine! We are locals, and it is our favorite vineyard around. At the foot of the gorgeous Adobe Canyon Road, with Sugarloaf Park at the other end. Can't have a better Wine Country experience than a nice hike in Sugarloaf's hills and creeks, followed by wine... This was our favorite stop in Napa and Sonoma on our recent Labor Day trip! The wine was excellent, the grounds are beautiful and our wine "tour guide" Paul was an absolute pleasure! From the history of the vinyard, to wine tasting notes and pairings, he was fantastic. He also suggested several other wineries and his suggestions topped our list... More

We stayed at the Landmark Vineyard at the end of a month in California. It was a superb setting for our last day and evening. Sonoma is a must see location. Our stay included a tour and tasting, both of which were excellent. Our room was perfect with a stunning area to enjoy our complimentary bottle of wine overlooking the... More

We stayed here for one night and was the perfect base for visiting the local vineyards. Had enjoyed the personal tour and lovely tasting. The room was fantastic, after 5pm we were the only people on the vineyard, we played balls (on our personal court) and walk through the vines. Along with enjoying a bottle of the best Pinot Noir... Of course, the wines were good. They choose them. As do all wineries. Our server (sommelier?) had a good amount of information, but he seemed a little tired of saying it. And this was the one winery where buying wine, ordering a glass after the tasting, and joining their wine club were stressed the most. I would buy a few... More

Matter of preference, however I came with platypus tours and this wine tasting was the most rushed, corporate feel. Of the 8 winners I visited during my stay, this was the only place I didn't purchase wine, however it's a matter of preference, I will say that the grounds are beautiful! They have corn hole and boce ball, and a... More

In addition to being a vineyard (owned by the descendents of famous John Deere), Landmark has two small cottages/guesthouses at the winery that would be great for the couple that just wants to get away from all the noise. We visited Landmark with a card that gave us a free tour and tasting. Our guide was wonderful and we learned... More

We were lucky enough to learn about the sleeping accomodations through TripAdvisor and glad we did. Staying here is like having a vineyard all to yourselves (once the tasting room closes). There are only two suites, we stayed at the smaller one and loved it. It was a great base for getting around the region and beautiful way to wake... More

This winery is just off route 12 in Sonoma, Paul the host was awesome, took his time to explain each wine and its characteristics asked me to try to explain the reasons why I wasn't a red wine drinker and explained in laymens terms what I was tasting and sensing. Had us taste their reds and to my surprise I... More

Walked in on a recent Monday morning. Friendly, knowledgeable, and very engaging staff who went out of the way to bring us through Landmark's current Chardonnay and Pinot Noir offerings, plus some. A very positive experience as we found out during our travels that the service and attention given to walk-ins is often lacking. Recommended.
