What a beautiful, peaceful spot this is! We went very early - just as it opened - as we were on our way to the airport. The buildings here appear to be very new and the grounds are meticulously groomed. Delicious wine, also!

Stopped there on the way to Salt Point State Park just north of Jenner. On Meyers Grade Road. . The location is about 2.5 miles up the hill from Hwy 1. It is a very steep road. We had a 15 ft trailer and it was slow. A large trailer might be difficult. It is an 18% grade. Plenty of... More

After having a glass of the Pinot noir with dinner in San Francisco my husband decided it was imperative that we visit the winery! The journey there is beautiful enough but nothing really prepared my for how enjoyable our visit was going to be. The outside wine tasting space is an escape, you can stare off into the distance forever.... More

We had a wonderful visit this time (see may 2013 review). We had a friendly knowledgeable server who did not rush us and happily switched our tasting to purchasing a half bottle to enjoy with our lunch on the deck. He checked on us often yet didn't intrude. A very enjoyable start to our getaway in gualala.

Not conveniently located, but if you're anywhere near the Russian River Valley, for example, it's worth going out to the coast to this rather isolated vineyard. The coastal drive is worth it alone, with a number of scenic stops. The road up the mountain is pleasant, with deer sightings possible, then you get to this beautiful tasting room with (if... More

This winery is off the beaten path....a hell of a ride up the mountain, but worth it. Our wine pourer/educator (not sure of what you call them) was Harry. I was a little worried at first bc he wasn't all warm and fuzzy when we walked in....BUT he grew on me. He is actually very charming and interesting. He's a... More

An oasis after climbing up Myers grade road on the bikes...left out of Jenner for a long day in the saddle and saw the signs nearing the top of the grade. Glad we stopped. Great staff and amazing atmosphere. If you're on a drive in the area, definitely make a point to stop.

Wanted to visit this winery since last summer. We had a bottle of their pinot blush at a restaurant in North Lake Tahoe and loved it. We stopped by on our way to Gualala. This is perhaps the most remote tasting room in California. An adventurous drive to say the least. Above the fog with a fabulous view and great... More

Really nice place to sip wine with a beautiful view! This is pricey wine though. Be prepared to pay $45 per bottle or more. They have an awesome dessert wine...loved it! Their other wines were very good too.

Fort Ross Vineyard has excellent tasting wines! In addition to the taste, we enjoyed pampered service by a gentleman by the name of ( I think ) Dave. He treated us with the utmost professionalism and we enjoyed the continued education of what it takes to make fine wines. Lastly, the tasting room and the Vineyard itself had a first... More
