I visited the store & purchased 2 bags of gold panning concentrates for $10.00 each - I found a satisfactory amount of gold and was pleased until I looked at their website & found that the gold concentrate bags are $5.00 each ( only 1 size available ) now I feel ripped off ( still happy with the gold )... My husband and I stopped by for a 5 hour gold prospecting expedition. We learned panning, geology, and mining. When I say we learned I mean we got in and got hands on learning. Frying Pan Frank was an awesome teacher!! It's a memory we'll never forget. My husband was like a kid at Christmas!

My husband and I read the reviews and drove 3 hours to have Frank as our guide. He was exceptional and taught us to pan for gold in the stream and virgin dirt under a tree root even using a sleuth box. It was work but we loved it and loved his enthusiasm. This was the highlight of my husbands... More

We (me and 16yr old son) booked a 3 hour session and wondered how it would work with no water at all (literally bone dry) in the creek. However, they are using a dry-washing system that really works, using air to separate gold from pebbles, dust etc. We ended up spending almost 4 hours shoveling the dry creek bed material... More

Came from Uk to try gold prospecting, after searching for companies who offered this adventure my wife and I decided to go with Gold Prospecting Adventures, we were glad we made this choice and had a great time with Brent our guide, a very knowledgable and effective teacher, we found gold using a dry sluice as the creek was totally... We had a brilliant morning learning how to prospect and mine for gold. Frying Pan Frank and Brent are real professionals with lots of stories and lots of experience to share. We were sceptical at first, we honestly thought that they would sprinkle some gold flakes in the soil so we would come away happy. But we couldn't have been... More

We had a wonderful time with this prospecting outfit. We signed up for a 3-hour adventure for three of us--my 10-year old grandson, my husband and I. They took us to a location where we were able to pan for gold and have the entire experience. Although the creek is dry because of the drought, they had improvised a system... More

This is a great company to use for a family adventure in gold country. Our guide was "Frying Pan" Frank who was a true gold prospector and was able to give us education, instruction and helping hands throughout our 2 hour adventure. It's hard work and an art to find gold, but we did it with Frying Pan's assistance! In... More

Frying Pan Frank first showed us how to pan for gold before setting the sluice box up for us. He inspired us with confidence as we took on board the mantra ' Gold is Heavy ' The day was just brilliant AND we found gold. On returning to the wonderful shop and museum on the main street I purchased a... More
