We recently enjoyed a cool and thrilling evening at Bill's observatory, experiencing both a learning and awe inspiring time. Bill is extremely knowledgeable and well versed in astronomy and was able to easily convey that to 2 amateurs. This was really educational. We had Bill's undivided attention and he showed us much much more than we were expecting. The evening,... More

I did not see the previous reviews until after I had been to the observatory and was extremely surprised by the low ratings. I did not set up the visit so I have no information on Mr. Gargan's telephone manners but found him to be very knowledgeable and professional as an astronomer. The set up is a little small but... This guy seems very rude & self absorbed. I wouldn't bother going. It amazes me that he would respond the way he did to those negative reviews. I'd think he'd want to improve his image. Go figure!

Called in early January 2012 to see what this was all about. Gentleman on the phone was very rude and started eating while speaking to me. Definately have no intention to give this chap $95 a person esp. seeing it's in his back yard. Not very professional.

Two primary and big critcisms of this experience: 1. Does not deliver for the value: you pay almost $100 a person to see about 6 stars in two hours. The viewing is less than spectacular. 2. Not being given by an astronomer, academic or particularly knowledgeable individual; this is is hobby and that's very obvious.

Two primary and big critisms of this review; 1. $50.00 dollars an hour to have access to a $150,000.00 ( a little rich for a hobby and if it was the I.R.S. would have shut us down more than a decade ago!!) state of the art observatory with a very knowledgable Astronomer is a great deal. Plumbers charge $75.00 dollars... More
