Our lab mix looooves the water and there's very few places in the Los Angeles area with water for dogs to play in. Huntington Dog Beach has been the solution to our problem! Absolutely gorgeous beach backed by scenic cliffs that keep the dogs from getting near the highway. On a nice day you can expect to see dozens (if... More

Make sure your pup is a strong swimmer if they go in the water! This is a nice long stretch of beach that has a nice natural barrier in the bluff. It can get pretty busy on a weekend with good weather, but there are always lots of happy dogs playing about!

If you love dogs, then a visit to Dog Beach is a must for you. You'll find the most action on weekends... or go early or after work on weekdays. You'll see all breeds of dogs romping, splashing, diving, fetching, and playing with other dogs and their people. Perhaps most impressive is the digging... you'll see a dog start pawing... More

This is an outstanding beach where you can let your dog run free and play in the sand and ocean. One word of caution, the dogs are great, the owners, not so, (sometimes).

We only had a little time before we flew out and our friends took us to Huntington Beach, which was very beautiful. We were thrilled to see the finals of the dog frisbee throwing competition, so much fun!! Highly recommended.

Came here with my wife and teenage daughter to see the sunset. Not only was it a beautiful sight, the beach was immaculately clean. Many dogs on the beach, but we never felt unwelcomed or threatened by the many friendly dogs and owners that were there. It's also only a few minutes walk away from the crowds to get some... More

While it is great to take your dog to the beach it would be even better if everyone cleaned up after their own dog. The last three times I was here I had to clean up after someone else's dog.

What a wonderful, large and beautiful beach! coming from the east coast there are little to zero beaches that allow dogs which is unfortunate. Not only do they allow dogs but the beach is full of happy friendly people and dogs!
