Great place for everyone with dogs, they love it and it's a great place to meet people with dogs. The dogs are taken of leashes and run and play. It's their freedom. Very safe!

It's always busy but the shore has a nice shallow bank so the dogs don't really get too deep in the water by accident. The sand is a bit rough on low tide and collects seashells which is fun. But also hurts to walk on sometimes!

Great place. Most dogs are well behaved. There are a few owners that bring their dogs that they can't control or dogs who are not socialized. Everyone is friendly and don't mind when tennis balls get confused. 99% are responsible dog owners. Parking is horrible but what choice do you have - have to keep the puppies happy. :)

Wide beach with a pay meter parking lot that is not large enough. People blocking parking lot on busy days waiting or others to leave. I prefer the beaches at Laguna Beach area....no rocky coves or tide pools at Huntington...Most people don't pay attention to the pick up after your dog rules either...

Loved that this section of beach was for owners to let their dogs enjoy the beach, which meant the rest of the beach was very clean.

We LOVED this beach!! All the dogs were well behaved and under voice command of their owners. Owners were attentive, friendly, and in control of their dogs. The beach was clean and had plenty of space to run. We walked up and down the length of the beach, approximately one mile each way. The water was cold when we went... More

We saw dogs of all sizes here at this beach. Most dogs were on leash. Give your pup the opportunity to enjoy the ocean and bring them here.

My beloved dog, Gypsy, loved going to the dog beach and so did I. She was the greatest dog ever and this beach is the greatest dog beach ever! There are a few other places in Newport Beach you can let you dog run, but this one is the absolute best! Very friendly people, too.

The dog beach in Huntington is so much fun. Tons of happy dogs, and happy people. You can walk the shore or sit and dog watch. We brought our two little ones The signs say dog on less but most dogs were off lesh. Coming from the pier the dog beach started around life guard station 22. We walked all... More
