My beloved dog, Gypsy, loved going to the dog beach and so did I. She was the greatest dog ever and this beach is the greatest dog beach ever! There are a few other places in Newport Beach you can let you dog run, but this one is the absolute best! Very friendly people, too.

The dog beach in Huntington is so much fun. Tons of happy dogs, and happy people. You can walk the shore or sit and dog watch. We brought our two little ones The signs say dog on less but most dogs were off lesh. Coming from the pier the dog beach started around life guard station 22. We walked all... More

If there is a living version of "rainbow bridge" it is truly at Huntington Beach's Dog Beach. This is heaven on earth for man and beast alike, I highly recommend visiting with and without your pets to help get back in touch with the important things in life. Its very nice with a restroom and water fountain for human and... More

There is something wonderful about watching dogs play in the surf. It is so relaxing and fun. A woman was sunbathing and a dog, not hers, came up and proceeded to lick her face--too sweet!

great place to exercise the dog. weekends can be crazy so we only went there on week days. most dogs are well behaved but you do have to be dog tolerant especially on the busy days.

My bf and I feel so lucky that we live nearby and are able to take our baby dog to the dog beach! It is definitively the best dog beach I've ever been. It is clean and safe. Parking on the street is charged and looks full but you can always find a few vacant spots somewhere. Puppies there seem... More

Great place to let your dog run off lease. Parking can be tough. Try parking across PCH on 22nd or 21st and walk across PCH to the beach. I take a beach chair and book and let Dakota explore the ocean or play with the other dogs. Can be crowded on weekends or holidays.

Huntington Beach is very nice and very popular. As for the dog beach, I have two issues that will prevent me from ever going there again. First, you have to traverse rocks and boulders with your dogs in order to get to the sand. With 100 pounds of Lab torque in each hand, that doesn't and didn't bode well. Second,... More
