Downtown Huntington is a great place to see. It has so many restaurants and shops. It is usually crowded, has a lot of street vendors and street shows by the pier. We love walking the pier! Low rated because we had a bike stolen, and were told by police the average is one a day:((.

The pier alone is worth a trip to Huntington Beach. It is extra long and you can move at you own speed. Lots of activity for all age groups on and around the pier. The town has a lot of personality itself and the locals are very friendly to the mature folks.

Very laid back with a beach theme. A good assortment of small shops and restaurants and yes, there is even a Starbucks halfway on the corner. Most restaurants have some sort of outdoor seating.

Living in Newport, I quickly realized it is the anti beach destination. Just 3 miles north, I find my beach bum side alive and well in Huntington. Main Street is mostly full of beach bars with decent pub grub, surf shops and a smattering of sushi bars, candy shops and family fare. Dogs abound and the walking traffic is usually... More

If you are looking for a naturally beautiful American beach, then Huntington Beach is a must-see. We stumbled across it as we went out on a mystery drive from Anaheim to see where it took us. We parked up in a residential road which was free for a couple of hours and took the small stroll to the oceans edge... More

It's called Surf City USA for a reason. The city is all about surfing and volleyball, and the shops clustered near the pier reflect that. The beach is wide and well kept, and it's fun to watch the beach volleyball and surfing as you stroll the beach. It's one of my favorite SoCal beaches.

Cute, small shops one does not see in every city. Unusual items which one can not find most places and you will not be matching everyone's clothes back home

A fun place to visit, dine, shop, people watch, or just enjoy the views and beach. Tons of great restaurants in this area...Duke's, Wahoo's, Aloha Grill, etc. Surf Mecca...lots of surf shops and fun little shops for nicknacks...mostly shops for teens/younger crowd. You won't find the more upscale clothing and housewares/gift shops like you would in Laguna, Manhattan, or Hermosa... More
