2015 US Open in Surf City brings all kinds. The pier was super-busy. Still plenty of room for us to gawk at all the surfers trying to ride their wave. Saw a fisherman catch a baby shark... It was an ordeal for him to reel it in and pull it up in a huge rope basket. We were even more... More

The pier is always worth walking. There are surfers, fisherman, and the joys of the Pacific Ocean to view. Such a relaxing walk with bathrooms halfway up the pier. We went on Tuesday when they close main street for the street fair and it was a wonderful night.

If you're in Huntington Beach, a walk to the end of the Huntington Beach Pier is an absolute must! I do this every time I'm in Huntington Beach, and I love the feeling of being out in the middle of the ocean. Funny thing, though: after all these years, I still forget to bring a sweater when I'm there in... More

Great place to visit to watch surfers, Fish, Sit and relax, and enjoy ocean views, etc. Pier has a couple of small shops and a Ruby's Diner at the end. Several other shops and restaurants across the street.

The pier is a nice place for a stroll and people watching, especially all the surfers. The beach itself is nice enough, but not the pristine place as you see on TV. You can rent umbrellas and chairs at Zach's right on the beach. There is a large parking deck in the downtown area if no parking is available right... More

There are so many things to see...watch the surfers, go fishing, sit on the bench and just watch the ocean, play volley ball and close to Main street where there's restaurants and small shops.

We loved walking the pier and watching the surfers and fisherman. We saw lots of dolphins in the mornings. Also saw a guy catch a leopard shark. Tons of surfers and the life guards were practicing, which was fun to watch.

I think I was expecting like the beach is on TV and in the movies however I thought the beaches across LA were nowhere near what I expected. Malibu was the nicest but Huntington was quite run down and not that clean.

This beach is crowded especially on weekend and surfing tournament plus the pricey parking. Nice to have lifeguards and fire pits. The fire pit is free as first come first serve, this is a non alcohol beach, there are cops around. Come very early for a nice spot, avoid coming here on holiday, it is a zoo and traffic.

Bring a jacket... I know it's July but when the sun starts going down the winds kick up and you get cold out there. Great little shops, bought some pretty necklaces at a great price. I suggest you just head to a parking structure and not cruise looking for a space.
