great place to check out the surf, take a walk, enjoy the California weather, take in the view. Ruby's at the end provides sustinence! Lots of fishermen... look for the friendly pelican who hangs out there.

It was peaceful nice place to walk. Relax and enjoy the ocean view. I loved watching the surfers and the waves crash in in.

The pier had plenty of benches and the surfers mostly surf on both sides of the pier. I am not able to surf, I can barely walk, so sitting there right above the water and the surfers was just perfect. We loved it. It was user friendly with bathrooms, paved walk ways and amenities for the surfers. I could sit... More

The pier extends out about a quarter of a mile into the ocean. A great place to relax & watch people fishing, surfing & just strolling. There is a restaurant at the end & places to purchase souvenirs on the pier.

The kids all loved the pier and the beach itself. Great area, seemed very clean and had a lot of great photo ops. Beach... More

We visited many piers during our visit to California, but this was by far the most entertaining. I could have literally stayed there for hours watching the surfers. I love photography so taking pics of the surfers in the waves was awesome. It was fascinating to watch the surfers battle over the waves and I caught a few wipeouts and... More

Minimal people on the beach. Nice and quite to lay out and relax in December. Cool, but still gorgeous. Parked on 14th st. for free. Stopped at dukes for a drink, appetizer, and electrical outlet for a dying computer. Great area.
