Well maintained facility. Bike trail goes from Sunset Beach to the Santa Ana River. Wetlands is across the street, must drive to the wetland, no walking across PCH.

As soon as we arrived a new seemingly intoxicated worker told us we were not going to be able to park our truck in its paid space telling my husband not to park in the empty space next to us while we were unloading Fire wood and other supplies. One we weren't going to park there and two no one... More

Winter at the Beach is great fun at Bolsa Chica State Beach. While the days are short and cold there is plenty to do and this is a great place to relax and enjoy the sunset. Also. Bolsa Chica is one of the few places in Southern California where you can have a fire on the beach.

We cycled on the paved path for miles and miles. What a great path to be able to use. We loved our day.

Fun place to take the kids when you want to avoid the crowds in Huntington. The beach has been hit hard by erosion but it's interesting to see. The boardwalk is nice and during the warmer months they have snack bars and rentals. Fun place to ride bikes and they also have a basketball court. Pelicans fly over in formation... More

Rv ing at Bolsa Chica with hooks up for the weekend. Can't sleep at all with the loud non stop traffic from PCH. There is no picnic table at individual camp site. A couple of RV left after one night according to the camp host. The noise is unbearable. One can't even hear the ocean wave. Won't come back to... More

Staying nearby, it was nice to be able to stroll over to here. The beach was expansive, some scattered shells, and a great view. Very little garbage, and the area was regularly patrolled. The view of the sunset was amazing.

I would hate to let others know, but this beach is great. Surfing is awesome, you will see some great surfers on some great waves. The waves at the pier are always better, but it is super crowded. Has a huge lot to bbq and hang with friends.

This is the best State Park around, RV parking in a parking lot with a million dollar view. When you camp here it is like no other campground around, even the camp hosts are the best in the west. Have a motorhome or camper, this is the place to go.

Busy in the summer and pricy to park but long sandy beach with fire pits and friendly people. Not much for food or stuff but a great beach
