This is a very large park in the center of Huntington Beach. It has a little bit of everything to offer from a dog park and frisbee golf to a library and running path. You can even park your RV here overnight in a paid parking section.

over the past few years we have been in a bad drought. the lake and river that surrounds the place has almost dried up. Huntington Beach has also allowed a sizable homeless community to take refuge there. for the first time I saw lots of trash. I'm trying to organize a city cleanup day and work with a shelter to... This is a nice park. Lots of Trees and pathways. Just be sure not to ride your bike on a holiday or weekend as it is very hard to ride your bike with all the people.

Hard to find BBQ locations because there are so many different entrances and areas of the park. Once we found the tables and bbqs, it was very peaceful with lots of cool birds to see. Flung around some Aerobi in the large open grass area near us. Free parking in some lots.

Even tho the water level has dropped dramatically, there are still lots of ducks and Canadian geese and even a few herons to enjoy. There are also lots and lots of friendly walkers as well as a place for you (and your dog) to enjoy an outdoor breakfast.

Been going to this park since they built it. The facilities are getting a bit long in the tooth, but the park itself is exceptionally pretty. Large open grass areas mixed with trees make it great for picnics large and small. Pleasant community nature center is worth a stop if they are open as it shows what the area would... More

Go for a walk and see the ducks at the big pond! :) Long trails for bike rides and tons of shady grass areas for picnics!
