Having never explored the Northern California area, I found that this was a great way to see parts of the area that the locals love. The company was wonderful and provided us with a dry bag and a cooler to use during our time on the river. The instructions were simple and the route was beautiful. We are not an... More

Just did this full day trip yesterday (7/23/14) with my 9 year old and 11 year old boys, plus my friend and her 9 & 6 year old boys. We had a blast! They gave us 2 canoes so that one adult could be in each canoe. (At some points we had all 4 boys in one canoe without us... More

Booked the full day trip for my dog and uncle. Made the drive up to beautiful Healdsburg from the Bay Area. There was food to purchase through RRA, but that was $18 a sandwich. We decided to pack our sandwiches and beer. We made our way from the meeting area to the beach which was about a 10 minute walk.... More

Really nice people. Offered us coolers and dry bags. Told us where we could go to get lunch before we launched. Gave us tips and instructions. Great trip took about 5 hours. Great day on the water. We didn't get in the water because it was too cold but some people did.

We have a family of 5, ranging from husband and wife 55 and 47, and 3 children, 19,18 and 12. We needed 2 rafts. We had about a 20 minute introduction of do's and dont's by the owner. River flows very gently. There are a few spots where it picks up but nothing too strong. I would recommend the 1/2... More

We enjoyed snacks and beer, water in the canoe. This company allowed us to bring in food and drink with ice box in the canoe. Water flow slowly and gently. We never fell out of the canoe. Never. It was a very safe activity. We could take relaxing time in the canoe. Freedom time, only river and forest. But, I’m... More

I came up to Healdsburg with my 9 year old and was a bit concerned that we would not find enough non wine-related activities to keep her occupied. Searching for outdoor activities, I came across Russian River Adventures on Google. What an awesome find! RRA really takes care of everything, leaving you free to really enjoy yourself. I signed us... More

We did the 1/2 day trip, which took less than 2 hours. I thought the river was beautiful, and it was SO cool to have a great blue heron take flight right in front of us. It worked well for us to see a couple of wineries, eat lunch, and then kayak, but I think I'll do the whole nine... More

My two daughters, ages 9 & 12, took the full-day trip on a recent camping trip to this area. We came from a campground in the Guerneville area and got a bit lost along the way and arrived 15 minutes later than the last check-in time. The staff didn't even mention it. They promptly got our paperwork processed and took... More

We did the full-day trip, although it took us under 4 hours, with some relaxing along the way. Beautiful scenery. The current was easy to navigate - nothing to worry about. The inflatable canoes are very durable and comfortable. The staff at SOAR is nice, positive, and accommodating. We arrived without reservations and they got us up and going fast.... More
