It was a girls' weekend getaway and this was our second day. We had our check-list of vineyards and wineries that we had to see, and wine caves were on our list. Bella was very convenient to our Healdsburg hotel so off we went. It was very lovely inside the cave with unique lampshades hanging from the ceilings. The tasting... More

Well how you define best? Best wine? Best tasting room? With knowledgeable people. Best pick nick area? Bella has them all Caves for tasting room, with Sebastián and John during our visit to explain the peculiarities of the wine making. Zin is there specialty but I found two good Chardonnays Ten Acre 2013 Santa Lucia Highlands , not your typical... More

We visited Bella Vineyards in the fall, a beautiful time of year for the area. The tasting room is in a cave built into the side of the hill. The staff in tasting room were great, friendly, warm and helpful. This would be a wonderful site to take a picnic, sit under the beautiful big trees and enjoy the view.

I'm sorry to report that the local authorities decided that Bella has been partying too hard (i.e. beyond the limits of their permit) , so have cracked down on some of Bella's best cave parties...You can still visit the regular tasting room (and their wines are still great) but the cave section may be closed ...

Bella Vineyards is a really nice place to visit. If you aren't overly familiar with caves in the wine country, this is the place to go. they do a nice job of running the entire operation in the man-made caves. The wines are good, at a good price point, and very approachable when young. For young couples or first timers... More

the tasting room is inside a cool cave. The wines have won major awards. The tasting server was the nicest of all the ones we talked with. They were very excited about their product and great to answer questions. They have really old vines there...some were 95 years old. A great winery to visit while in Healdsburg

compared to the other wineries we had visited Bella seemed much more impersonal. The caves were a great atmosphere to taste in.

My wife and I have visited Bella three times. We have found several of the zinfandels and pinots (that are sold under either the Bella label or the Ten Acre label) to be outstanding. The tasting area is back in the cave, although you can also take your wine outside and sit at tables under the trees. Lucy, at the... More

This was our first wine tasting in Sonoma. We cycled to get here with Getaway Adventures. The cycle ride itself was lovely. This vineyard is in a beautiful location. It has all the rustic charm you would expect. Great music playing. The hut where you get your second tasting has a food pairing, ours was crackers and cheese but still... More

We hired a professional wine tour driver for a day during our trip to Sonoma county. Being first-timers to the area (and to wine-tasting), we left the destination up to him. He brought us to the Dry Creek valley area to Bella. We were immediately blown away by the stunning views. The tasting room is in a cave, is very... More
