We went to this vineyard as part of our bus tour. There were four of us and the staff greeted us with a smile when we entered. Anthony A. was very friendly, knowledgeable, entertaining and gave lots of great pours. He did not judge us when we asked different (and maybe some obvious) questions about the wine. The vineyard is... More

Every time I've been to this winery I'm impressed with their wines and the staff. They're friendly and knowledgeable. The setting is also nice, good place to picnic if you pick up lunch from the dry creek store down the street.

John from Valette restaurant suggested visiting Mauritson and what a great suggestion. Unbelievable, artisan Zins, great cabs, and some incredible cab franc. Anthony was wonderful - knowledgeable, informative, and engaging, but the wine, the wine is what made the visit! For high quality, low production reds, you can't go wrong here. Great visit and great wine!

Knowing that our visitors like juicy red wines, we made sure to stop at Mauritson who are known for their zins and other red wines. It was a busy and crowded tasting room but the people behind the bar handled the crowd perfectly, not an easy job on a busy Saturday. All the wines were tasty especially the Rockpile zins... More

I get quarterly shipments from Mauritson, particularly from the Rockpile region where the grapes and the winemaker come together to make extra delicious wines!

If you like Zinfandels this is a great stop. Their series of rock pile wines are wonderful and different than most of the zins in the valley. Definitely worth a visit. Tasting fee applies toward purchase and the tasting room staff is very informative and nice.

another winery with a tasting fee (but on the low side) - good reds and nice sauvignon blanc. This family used to own the land that the government took over and made Lake Sonoma. Recommended stop on a Dry Creek Valley wine tour - others not to miss include Bella & Preston on West Dry Creek road, Ridge and Mozzoco... More

Wonderful Zinfandels! The tasting is very generous and the wines are reasonably priced. I would definitely return again.

I should start this off by saying, we love red wines. I found this winery as I was looking for the famed Rockpile Vineyard wines. Anthony did our tasting, and he was just the right personality for our group. His brother Tom chimed in as well, which was really fun. They gave us ample pours of some excellent wines. zin,... More

My husband and I were at another winery and the couple next to us said that one of their favorite wineries was Mauritson. It was quite crowded when we went on a Sunday afternoon but the staff was wonderful in making sure that the customers were given wine tastings and information about the wines. Our favorite wine was the 2013... More
