We dined at Scopa (another review) and chose the Rock Pile Zin. We had to stop by the winery. We arrived at 10:30 in the morning and enjoyed our visit. The lady behind the counter was not average and knew the wine. We had to take a couple bottles of Zin with us and living in the Sacramento Valley we... More

After a few inside tastings at other wineries, we happened upon Mauritson's self-guided vineyard tour and were delighted to be "out in the field." Afterward, the hostess gave us several samples of different wines she thought might complement the artisan cheese and fresh produce we had bought that morning at the Healdsburg Farmer's Market. We made our choice then went... More

This is a must stop for wine lovers. They always have the best Zins. I'm not a Pinot person, but the Charlie Clay Pinot Noir is extremely well done. Delicious wines all around. Can't wait to go back!

Honor Mansion recommend Mauritson and we were very impressed. Well worth the visit and the wine is outstanding. They also have a very interesting port that we purchased.

Our first adventure to the dry creek region of Alexander valley....and it did not disappoint! Lee was an awesome host, explained the wines and the appellation and made the whole tasting wonderful! She was very informative and engaging... Would recommend to all for certain!

I came to Mauritson Wineries through my interest in the Rockpile appellation. The Mauritson family has been growing grapes for over 100 years, and have in the last 15-20 years (IMO) have produced some stellar wines. My focus tends towards Zinfandel but like many varieties of both reds and whites as well. The Mauritson heritage of growing grapes shows in... More

We went wine tasting in December 2013. The staff was very friendly, the wine was good. It was not crowded which is rare for a Sunday in the area. We will go back.

We did the harvest tour privately. We were given a couple of wines to taste then taken into the winery and talked through the process, even talking to one of the wine makers. It was great to be able to try some mid fermentation. Then after the tour a few more wines to try. We were able to ask loads... More

Mauritson's have been growers in Dry Creek Valley for longer than anyone and they know their "Terrior," and their wines reflect their vineyard's individuality! I know several other great Zin's there, but Mauritson's is one of the only ones that is available without going through hoops and ladders! I hope they take good care of their devoted fans!

We went here specifically for the Harvest tour. We had to do a private tour as we weren't here at the right time for a group tour. We were so glad. Never had such an interesting and informative tour. Found out loads about the area the wines the process. On top of the normal tasting, we got to try wine... More
