We were told that this winery is a must stop, so we did. Our group loved the red wines and we spent like 2 hours tasting the wines. It was a great experience with yummy wines.i

Never heard of Mauritson wines before? Neither did we. But based on the recommendation of a local B&B innkeeper, we visited the Mauritson Winery. We loved every white and red poured so much we joined their wine club. Very out of character for us but a testimonial to how much we loved the wine. No fancy building. No fancy gardens.... More

What a great experience, from the education on their wines to how great all of the wines were that we tasted. We made sure to buy enough to enjoy back home too.

We were happily wowed by the zins. Not cheap but value-priced and well worth it. We were also introduced to a new wine region in the area Rockpile. Worth the visit.

We dined at Scopa (another review) and chose the Rock Pile Zin. We had to stop by the winery. We arrived at 10:30 in the morning and enjoyed our visit. The lady behind the counter was not average and knew the wine. We had to take a couple bottles of Zin with us and living in the Sacramento Valley we... More

After a few inside tastings at other wineries, we happened upon Mauritson's self-guided vineyard tour and were delighted to be "out in the field." Afterward, the hostess gave us several samples of different wines she thought might complement the artisan cheese and fresh produce we had bought that morning at the Healdsburg Farmer's Market. We made our choice then went... More

This is a must stop for wine lovers. They always have the best Zins. I'm not a Pinot person, but the Charlie Clay Pinot Noir is extremely well done. Delicious wines all around. Can't wait to go back!

Honor Mansion recommend Mauritson and we were very impressed. Well worth the visit and the wine is outstanding. They also have a very interesting port that we purchased.

Our first adventure to the dry creek region of Alexander valley....and it did not disappoint! Lee was an awesome host, explained the wines and the appellation and made the whole tasting wonderful! She was very informative and engaging... Would recommend to all for certain!

I came to Mauritson Wineries through my interest in the Rockpile appellation. The Mauritson family has been growing grapes for over 100 years, and have in the last 15-20 years (IMO) have produced some stellar wines. My focus tends towards Zinfandel but like many varieties of both reds and whites as well. The Mauritson heritage of growing grapes shows in... More
