You have to make a reservation to go to A. Raf. but it's a must if you are a Zin lover. They also make a Cab. and a Merlot, but we think the Zin is outstanding. If you are lucky you might get to talk to David Rafanelli, the father of Shelly the wine maker. He's interesting and can be... More

The wine was great as were the people. The views were spectacular and we would have loved to stay all day, but we had other commitments.

A.Rafanelli remains on of the best family opened and operated winery in Sonoma County. Dave, wife Patty and now daughter/winemaker Shelly (4th Generation) have maintained and improved on a product created by Dave's grandfather in the early 1900s. Tasting by appointment only unless you are lucky to get in during a special event. Wonderful wines!!

We found Rafanelli because we enjoyed thier Cabernet at our hotel the evening before. Although they were booked for a tasting, they invited our group of 10 to visit and gave us the code to the gate. When we got there the group before us was done and the next hadn't arrived so they broke open the wine and we... More

We stop here every visit to the wine country. It is a family run winery and most times we get to talk with the family. Their wines are reasonably priced and taste wonderful. We never leave without at least a case of wine. We recently joined their mailing list and excited about our first delivery. They only do tastings with... More

A Rafanelli is s small family owned winery that makes fantastic Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. Their wine is only sold at the winery and you must make an appt. to taste/buy but it is well worth the effort.

Absolutely love this winery and love their Zin! We waited about 2 years to make the mailing list and have come every year to buy a case of Zin. We've also bought the Cab and the Merlot. Just divine. Love the winery, the family, the dogs, etc. Such a beautiful place and a beautiful wine!

This is a first-class, family-run place which harkens back to the old days in the Healdsburg area. Tasting is with a family member in the barrel room; gracious and knowledgeable. Their Zins are not overpowering and the reserve Cab is spectacular. Takes a few years to get on the mailibng list and be able to purchase the wines--worth the wait.

As always, our visit to Rafanelli Winery was great. The wines this year are some of the best in 10-15 years of going to this winery. The Cab this year is spectacular. Each year one of their wines is better than the others. This year it is the Cab. See you again next year. Stacy, Shelly, and Dave are wonderful.
