Williams Selyem is what I would classify as a higher end winery, with over-the-top wines. The place is gorgeous, and by that I mean the landscaping and the winery building. One must be a member of their list to make a tasting appointment, which you have to sign up for on their web-site, and wait for 6 or so months... More

By appt only - beautiful facility, singular experience. Very generous tastings with an opportunity to purchase at end of tour.

Go Go Go!! If you can get in, go. The new winery is great and the experience is second to none. Bring your camera, plenty of photo ops here. TIP- Plan on tasting in the area. Russian River is a bit remote, but has plenty to offer!

Williams Selyem Winery is a most impressive place. No expense has spared in the tasting room, buildings, surroundings or vinyards. This winery is not open to the public. You have to be on their list or as we did come on a visit organised by an upmarket wine tour company, in our case Verve Napa Valley. Their chardonnays are really... More

Williams Selyem is a really outstanding winery. The newly-designed facility gives you the experience of entering a wine barrel! There is a wall of wine in the foyer with a sample of every bottle since the beginning. The winery is only open to members of their wine list. The tasting experience is great. Riedel stemware, current and library wines, lost... More

We recently went to the winery for a tasting - and were treated miserably. Granted we were late for the tasting, but in my mind that was no excuse. We brought friends from out of town to experience the wines there. (we had a very good tasting the year before at the winery - and became good customers) This trip... More

Beautiful tasting room in a lovely setting. Expensive but the wines are very, very good. The staff was friendly and the tour was interesting and not overly long. Unoaked Chard was good; Block 10 Pinot was excellent and I also loved the Westside Pinot. Would definitely return!

Williams-Selyem has a well-deserved reputation for fine wine. But the tasting was formal, not friendly, and not really interesting. The physical structure is imposing and a bit weird, looking like half a wine barrel upside down. The gate has the road number on it in large letters and no other marking; naturally we drove past it the first time, trying... More
