We recently went to the winery for a tasting - and were treated miserably. Granted we were late for the tasting, but in my mind that was no excuse. We brought friends from out of town to experience the wines there. (we had a very good tasting the year before at the winery - and became good customers) This trip... More

Beautiful tasting room in a lovely setting. Expensive but the wines are very, very good. The staff was friendly and the tour was interesting and not overly long. Unoaked Chard was good; Block 10 Pinot was excellent and I also loved the Westside Pinot. Would definitely return!

Williams-Selyem has a well-deserved reputation for fine wine. But the tasting was formal, not friendly, and not really interesting. The physical structure is imposing and a bit weird, looking like half a wine barrel upside down. The gate has the road number on it in large letters and no other marking; naturally we drove past it the first time, trying... More

The Williams-Selyem is not open to the public and to schedule a tour and tasting you need to be on their allocation list. They make very serious pinots and the only way you can purchase them is through your spring and fall allocations. No expense has been spared in building the winery and surrounding landscape. So get on the list,... More

William Selyem is one of the best pinot growers in the area and the winery and tasting did not disappoint. Get a reservation! Gate is not even marked. Beautiful facility to visit.

Williams Selyem is only open to those who are members of their wine allocation list so it's not exactly your typical Sonoma tasting room. They have always made one of my favorite Pinot Noirs and so I was quite excited to visit their new facility. The winery is an absolute showpiece and the hosts couldn't be more wonderful. The wines... Our second stop in the Russian River Valley was at William Selyem Winery. My first impression was how beautiful the vineyards were, and how cool the main building looked. We thought the wines were very good as well, although a bit pricey. Our one complaint was our hostess. She came off as not being into the experience, and quite frankly... More

An appointment is required and it is a bit difficult to find (no sign and you use a key pad for entry) but well worth it. Delicious Pinot Noir. Very interesting tour even though we've toured numerous wineries. Very friendly staff and lovely tasting room. Scenery is outstanding. We loved the "bottle" wall. We purchased several bottles and joined the... More
