We've been coming to Peterson for years, and are wine club members. We have them ship our wines, and just purchased many cases at their annual Open House sale. We come out and taste here every year when we visit northern Sonoma. The winery and tasting room are part of a complex of a number of other small wineries on... More

We've been visiting Peterson Winery for years, and it always feels like coming home. The winemaking is taken seriously with an old-fashioned European approach. Their AgRaria Wine is a favorite, nice to know that the taste comes from great grapes and skill, not chemical mixology. But everything else is tongue-in-cheek and puns abound, be prepared for some interesting artwork and... More

We really enjoyed our visit to this little, family-owned winery in Dry Creek Valley (a short ride from downtown Healdsburg). Eric was an excellent host. He has a good sense of humor, is outgoing, and really knew the details of each wine poured. All of the reds were seriously tasty and enjoyable. We learned that the winery doesn't do any... More

Just off the beaten path in Dry Creek is the unpretentious and unassuming tasting room for Peterson Winery. Fred and has son have been growing/making great wine for a while now. The service and atmosphere in the tasting room match the approach in the winery. Inexpensive wine very well made. I've put their $30 Cab and Syrah against big name... More

We just happened by Peterson last week for the first time. What a pleasant experience in a little western themed grouping of wineries (near Papapietro Perry and Kokomo). We tasted some very good zins and cabernets and bought several bottles. Some of their wines can only be found at the winery. Unique labels on unique wines.

The tasting room is a bit of a drive off the main road, but they were friendly and had a nice selection of wines to try. They also have bread and olive oils to sample.

My wife first became interested in Peterson when she had a bottle of their Zinfandel when at a restaurant with a group of friends. As Peterson wines are not easily available for purchase aside from at the winery, so a visit to the winery is now part of a trip to Healdsburg. Peterson is one of the rare wineries that... More

We chanced upon Peterson winery the first time, and have stopped back each time. The wines are well crafted, affordable, and unique. The tasting room has always provided an entertaining and unique visit.

Fred’s a gem, and we really appreciated that he took the time to pour for us since we’d given advance notice. All their wines are very nice, and a great value. The barrel tasting offerings were fantastic, and worthy of some futures purchase. The roaming pets and overall low-key feel of the place and friendly staff make this a fun... More

We've been drinking Fred's wines for many years and it was nice to finally visit the tasting room. The two tasting room cats (Red & White) were in evidence that day as was Fred himself. A highly recommended stop for a memorable tasting experience. Thanks for a great afternoon Melissa and Fred.
