This stop was the highlight to our two days in Sonoma! We literally stumbled on Medlock Ames while doing a quick online search and were blown away: by the beautiful setting, the attentive and highly knowledgeable staff, terrific cheese pairings, and THE WINE. We left with multiple bottles that we keep sharing with family this holiday season. Bring your family... More

Came to Medlock Ames at the end of the day on the Black Friday Open House tour of Alexander Valley. A friend had recommended the winery and I agree with her evaluation of the facility. Even though the day had been hectic, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. I had a good visit because the staff was happy and... More

The history of the building is interesting as it was formerly a gas station & bar. The tasting presentation was fantastic. We tasted 10 different wines. Both reds & whites. Very good selection. Their olive oil was super! We were provided cheeses to pair with specific wines. Nice touch! Very friendly & very accommodating. Specials when you join their wine... More

Great little spot. Highly recommend their upper end reds. Drew, our host, very knowledgeable and helpful. A future annual must stop to taste.

My husband and I stopped here shortly after arriving in wine country. Beth really took great care of us. The wines were amazing, so good in fact that we joined their wine club (our first!) Highly recommended.

Medlock Ames was a lovely stop on a tour of 4 Sonoma wineries on a Sunday afternoon. Good wines, awesome cheese pairings and a very uniquely designed property, balancing farming and wine. Can't wait to visit the full property on my next visit. Good for families too - kids would enjoy running around the unique property.

They have an outstanding 2014 Chardonnay. We normally prefer just reds but decided to go down the list of wines being poured that day. Our server paired the wines with complimentary cheeses.

A good friend recommended touring Medlock Ames Winery during a recent trip to Sonoma County. Easy reservation on line. No problem with the directions. Beautiful setting with a mission, knowledgeable non-smarmy guide, very good organic wines paired with some lovely cheeses, fruits from their gardens and meats. We ran into Ames, one of the owners, who cheerfully and patiently fielded... More

I took my wife to the winery as part of our Anniversary trip to Sonoma County. The hosts at the winery are SO nice. We got a tour of the beautiful grounds, sampled some strawberries from their garden and even ran into Ames (their winemaker) in the fermenting area. Of course, all this is for naught if the wine isn't... More
