I picked Truett Hurst primarily because they opened at 10 am, and I am really glad we ended up there! We did the $5 tasting and got to taste 10 wines. I was very happy with the wines and ended up buying a bottle to bring home. The prices were not terribly high for a grad student! They served cheese... More

That's what my husband said to write when I asked him what he'd like to say. And then he said he doesn't say OMG. We Love Truest Hurst and their wines. We like red wines and they offer lots of reds from mild to bold. Genuine people, passionate. For the tasting choose any 6 wines to taste. All reds are... More

This trip to "wine country" was all about visiting smaller wineries with great wines and beautiful scenery. This one did not disappoint! The wines were great and sitting out by Dry Creek was so serene with a wonderful glass of wine. Could have stayed all day!

The concierge at the Doubletree recommended this winery as a great place for a picnic. This is a lovely small winery, and we were welcomed warmly when we entered. After tasting a few varieties we purchased a bottle and walked down to the water to enjoy our lunch. WOW. Perfect! Adirondack chairs next to the river were the perfect place... More

What a treat we were turned on too by my son who works at another winery (VJB) in the area. Truett Hurst is going to be on our regular stop forever when visiting Healdsburg. Had a great time with Sal, who was fun, patient and knowledgeable. The Burning-man Petite is the best. If you didn't read the label you'd think... More

This is a delightful vineyard to visit. Very pretty grounds, bright and cheerful tasting room although not really large. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. We took our wine to the creek where we sat in Adirondack chairs and relaxed on a beautiful day. You are free to stroll through the grounds and see not only the grape vines but some vegetable... We spent an afternoon at this winery with a nice bottle of wine, relaxing by the river, sitting in Adirondack chairs. This winery provides various areas that sites to just kick back and relax with a bottle of their wine. Very relaxing!

The winery is situated in a scenic setting where you can taste some good reds. They have some excellent wines and make sure you get to sample any you would like. There is a seating area by a running river where you can take a glass out and listen to the water. This a perfect place to unwind and enjoy... More

Go here. Not so much for the wine, though that's fine. But rather for the outdoor setting. Get a bottle of wine and take it to the river. Drink it sitting in the Adirondack chairs by the river and watch the water run by. There's fish apparently. But on a nice day its really quite perfect.
