Unbelievably beautiful property, a true must see. The property is truly beautiful, it is like a privately owned botanical garden with wine! I would recommend the downstairs tasting...the room is unbelievable and the wines are really good.

We enjoyed tasting some of the reserve wines downstairs. We were there on a weekday and it wasn't crowed, the staff were friendly and informative and the reserve wines were quite good. There is a beautiful Japanese style garden between the parking lot and the tasting building. Many people walk right by it because the entrance has a gate. Too... More

A group of 10 of us stopped in on the way through wine country. This place is amazing! You don't have to be a wine lover to fall in love with this amazing estate. This is worth the stop just for the gorgeous landscape and beautiful arboretum and nice gift shop. This also happened to be home to the favorite... More

Everything about this place is so artistically appointed. Walk up the gentle incline of the manicured walkway, slowly revealing the villa, until you come to the entrance and a grand view of the surrounding vineyards and the formal garden in front of the tasting room entrance. The gift shop i slarge and has many winery-related items for sale. Classic tastings... More

It was pouring rain when I arrived, and let me just say that it is a long, drenching walk from the parking lot to the entrance! Fortunately, there was not a crowd, so the pourer was very attentive and engaged in conversation. I thought the tasting fee was reasonable at $15 for the premium tasting downstairs, but they do require... More

I wanted to go here because of the gardens and wasn't disappointed, they were beautiful. Sadly the wine tasting experience wasn't as good. The wine tasting staff were aloof (both levels) unless you were going to spend lots of money on wine.

After visiting some boutique wineries in the area we came here and was disappointed. The wines were only ok and people not as friendly as the other small wineries. We tasted at the enoteca area and $15 for 4 wines and they refund it only if you purchase $80 worth of wines. If you're in the area I'd recommend going... More

We looked forward to visiting this prestigious winery and was very disappointed due to poor customer service at the tasting room. The gentleman "A..." was not engaged in our tasting and had strong opinions about everything and didn't know much about their wine club offerings nor did he try to find out. Arrogance is the description that best describes our... More

Certainly not on purpose, but we visited on a cold, rainy day - Super Bowl Sunday in fact - and had the lower tasting room (higher end wines) all to ourselves. That allowed for some very personal touches during the tasting in terms of discussing each wine I selected in depth as well as helping point us toward specific wines.... More

Lovely visit even if numerous miles northwest of Calistoga. Hedges and courtyards are exquisitely groomed. Two separate wine tasting bars inside. The presenters were extraordinarily social with story telling and with wine information.
