I have been coming to this ranch off and on for almost 40 years. I am a horse lover and off and on owner throughout my life and also love the beach, so this is a place I have come back to time and again for close to 40 years. The horses have always been as good as any other... More

If you want to experience the California coast on horseback give this stable a try. The horses were gentle, (off season so under worked) and lively. The guide took many photos for us and although his English was limited he was very competent and paid close attention to us. We walked the whole time but I believe more advanced riders... More

My friend and I love horses, so when she came to visit from Norway/Sweden, we booked the morning horseback tour on the beach. The upside of this tour is that the view is pretty amazing and let's face it, how many people can say that they went horseback riding on the beach. The downside? I don't think it really counts... So beautiful! What a great way to spend the morning outside of the city. The horses were very well behaved and the trail was amazing. There were even dolphins as we rode by the beach- amazing. So much to do in the area after the ride too- the little town of half moon bay is adorable.

My husband and I booked an 1 1/2 hour ride on the beach for our 12 year Anniversary. On Nov. 9th there was a great rain and thunder storm. So I called the ranch to say, well I don't think we will be going out today? The lady on the phone was so nice and said, I was just getting... More

What a great experience. Sea Horse Ranch made this visit a wonderful experience for all. This was our second visit to the ranch and it was fantastic both times. The ranch made sure we were all comfortable with what to expect along with thorough instructions before riding. The ride was beautiful and enjoyable. The horses each had their own personalities... We took the morning trail ride, which combines both a trail at the top of a bluff and also a descent and ride on the beach itself. I really enjoyed the scenery of the ride, especially a few section through the trees and being on the beach. This was also the only ride experience I could find in the area.... More

I asked for a big horse and was so excited I almost cried when they brought out Tardy, a tall Morgan that was gentle and easy to ride. The staff was friendly and fun. Great experience. I only wish I lived closer and could visit more often. If you ride Tardy, tell him I said hi :)

The animals seem to be well taken care of and loved. The ranch hands are very attentive and some volunteer there from nearby ranches just to be around the horses. There were more than enough guides to take care of our large group. We felt safe and well taken care of.
