Not far from the airport but a world apart from it. Wonderful Pacific views and easily explored if one has just a few hours to kill in or around the airport.

The pictures of this beach surely will beckon and entice you, but it goes without saying there only is one way to feel the full effect: you need to make a visit. Believe me, you will be glad you did. Only problem is, you won't want to leave, especially if you're fortunate enough to be able to visit during the... More

You can park in the surrounding neighborhood and walk in. It's a very nice beach, not crowded though obviously very popular. The facilities are ok here though you need to bring your own soap/towel. They have tables set around so you can have a picnic. They have bbq stands, but when it's windy you'd have to build something up to... More

close to town and you can buy a pass for all state beaches for the day. Wear a jacket! Not a lot of exploring places like rocks.

Half moon bay is only a thirty minute drive from San Fran but what a difference. The bay has a cool fog horn. Great eateries and mavericks

The beach was clean, the views phenomenal, and the kids had a great time. What more could you ask for?

The beach stretches for a long way North and South of the hotell. Great to walk and admire the water, the Waves, the pelicans flyiing above, maybe an occasional sea lion, and so forth. The water is cold but the beach is Clean and the sand is gorgeous to walk barefoot in!

We walked up the bluff for a view of The ocean and could see seals bathing and playing below and whales in the distance spouting water - windy but beautiful vista.

Beautiful even on an overcast day. The water was extremely cold, but it was a fun experience being at the beach enjoying nature the way it was intended to be.
