Pescadero us a good place for a day trip. I have been there a handful of times for the day and it's aways enjoyable. It's pretty windy and might be cold to swim. The town of Pescadero is close by and has some good antique shops and places to buy produce.

When I went to Pescadero Beach, it was impossible to get to the sea 😕 And it looked like it's been that way for a while... The place looked quite littéred too😕 I would not recommend this one, there are much better beaches close by, like Cowell Ranch, wich, by the way, offers free parking.

The drive from San Jose to Pescadero is nice! The beaches are calm, no dirty on the sand like Santa Cruz, the water is cold as any from Pacific. I visited Pescadero about 3 times and become our favorite beach.

We love Pescadero Beach, its never crowded and always beautiful. Go into Pescadero, a really quaint little village a few miles inland, buy some fresh bread, a bottle of local wine and maybe some of the locally produced goat cheese and then go enjoy the beach. For lunch or dinner go back into town and enjoy a great meal at... More

My husband and I stopped by here before heading to the SJC airport; It's a beautiful beach, but watch out for horse poop! I'm not sure if this is the norm, but when we went, and there was poop on the trails and beach, and certain areas reeked. Pets are allowed, so there were dogs running around everywhere. There are... Nice trail around the marsh, but poison oak is everywhere along the sides of the trail. Don't take this walk unless you know how to identify and avoid poison oak.

The northern end of Pescadero beach is a set of large sand dunes worth visiting. Then it opens up where the creek comes through (at some tides you can hike back into the creek/pond area East of the highway). Then a sandstone headland that is picturesque in that it has a lovely little cave/hole right through to the ocean! That... More

Pescadero Beach is a beautiful white sand beach. It is adjacent to Pescadero Marsh which has 297 types of birds that fly by and migrate thru each year. The lagoon used to have whales in it 100 years ago but siltation caused by development has filled in the lagoon so that is no longer possible. Great Taqueria at the corner... More
