SITUATION: *My boyfriend and I (28/27 years old) visited Circle Bar Guest Ranch and Stables this afternoon (Dec 29, 2009) to ride horses from 3:30-5:00 pm. We paid $37 each for a 1.5 hour ride, which I think is a reasonable rate for the length of time. I am an experienced rider and my boyfriend is a beginner (has ridden... more

I was first taken to Circle Bar B through Captain Jack's Tours, and have been back several times since. The cowboys/wranglers and so personable, and enjoyable to ride with. The horses are well-trained and safe, but still let you have a fun time. While there is no galloping on the open plains on the ride (the 1 1/2 hour ride...I... more

I took a Captain Jacks Tour and this was our second stop on our trip. First we stopped at the El Capitan Canyon Ranch's Restaurant down the mountain(which was deliscous) then we drove up the mountain to the Circle Bar B! my boyfriend and I were greated by three grinning cowboys that kindly asked us to "sign out lives away"... more

I came upon Circle Bar B after searching for horseback riding in the Solvang area. While it's quite the little drive up a canyon to find them (paved road but narrow and winding), it was well worth it. We lucked out and ended up being the only guests on our ride. Our guide was knowledgable, rugged, and friendly all balled... more

We were waiting to see buffalos. We did see cows and llamas nearby. We stayed at the Bar B Ranch on Sunday, November 20th. The location is ideal. The ranch is family owned and run. Catherine, the ranch manager and her staff made our stay pleasant. The rooms are nicely decorated with a wood burning fireplace. Our bathroom was small.... more

My wife and i stayed at Circle Bar B for a week in Feb 08. The room (honeymoon suite) was very nice. The decor very much as hoped i.e. it looked like a sweet ol' ranch home. The lodge itself looked great, although we weren't so sure on some of the food. The barman (cum surfer) was really helpful and... more

We have been going to the Circle Bar B every year for the past thirteen years. We have held all types of celebrations including our wedding in 1999 at this gem of a place. If you want the Four Seasons look elsewhere. If you want peace and quiet, relaxation, mountain views, gorgeous hikes with waterfalls, good home-style cooking, friendly staff,... more

We had a fantastic trip to the ranch to go horseback riding. The stable staff was incredibly friendly, the horses were great and it was a fantastic bargain, really. This all made up for the fact that we had a very unpleasant encounter with the Inn staff. We had arrived early and were hoping to get a little water before... more

I too was a parent guest at 7-year old Noah and Emily's frustrated birthday party, The 90 minute horseback ride was to the major feature the kids awaited. To have it cancelled with no warning just because some CircleBarB honcho's ex-wife was scheduled to be a guest—she never even showed—and the ":honcho" was afraid to meet her is unheard of! more

A Wild West Cowboy party; that’s what my son Noah wanted for his 7th birthday party. He and his friend Emily, who share the same birthday, had wanted this since they were 4 years old! As 7 is the minimum age for trail riding at the ranch, we postponed this grand event for 3 years. Together with Noah’s birthday buddy,... more
