I have been to this beach a few dozen times. I have some very good friends that attend UCSB and Goleta beach it's literally within walking distance of campus. Great place to hang out and eat at a restaurant that are right by on the beach.

Lovely area and well-maintained park. It was never crowded and we could actually enjoy our beach books and little picnic in peace. And the best part is that it was so close to the house!

I really enjoy this park. When you enter, go right for beaches and bbq and hanging out. Go right for the Beachside Cafe & Bar and the pier. I like walking the pier here because the weather is usually nice and there are lots of fishermen to watch. To the far left is another quiet beach with no bbq or... More

A sandy swath, a generous greensward, an endless pier, good food, free parking, restrooms. Something for everyone here, a great day use beach adjacent to UCSB. Dogs okay on leash.

This borders UCSB, and gives a real nice view of the campus from the pier. It's clean and open, plenty of space.

Nice beach for walking not to mention the pier. Currently part of the area is fenced off for restoration. Lots of seaweed piles on the beach. Too many pigeons on the pier. However the estuary has lots of shore birds. BBQ facilities and children's play structures make this family friendly. On a clear day, the reward is views down the... More

Beach had seaweed, sand coarser than Santa Rosa Beach FL. Water in the Pacific is cold by nature. Nice place for picnic though.
