Our first stop with Australian visitors on a weekday visit to the wine country was BR Cohn. We had been there before and had been treated well. The man we had the misfortune to encounter this time does the winery a disservice. We asked how it worked. Instead of answering, he asked how many of us. I declined as the... More

Nothing too special about this place. We liked their special blends of SyrZin and SyrCab. We had a nice gentlemen serve us our wine at a busy bar.

This ranked as the top of our wineries on our 3-day tour in Napa/Sonoma. Garrett was a great liaison for the winery including wine information and informing us about BR Cohn and how he has been the Doobie Brothers road manager since the mid 70's. They have a fun memorabilia room along with their records on the tasting room wall.

My friend was on a buying trip for her restaurant. I know that it was not the owner that greeted us but whoever this man was he should be placed on a time out. I was stunned by how unprofessional and how unwelcoming he was and it was unfortunate because I had tasted B.R. Cohen Cabernet at a restaurant and... More

BR Cohn is a fun winery to go for wine tasting. We also like to visit their gourmet shop. There are various things to purchase there as well as olive oil and vinegar tasting. In the summer there are good concerts. This time we visited it was in December and the winery was nicely decorated for the holidays.

Based on the wine I would have given this place only three stars, but the extensive vinegar offer deserves four stars. I was not too enthusiastic about the wines. I also felt a bit pushed to purchase after the tasting but maybe that's what they have to do in order to survive. The free tasting of the olive oils and... More

I fist heard about B R Cohn from the music festival, but I stayed for the wines. If you are in the area in the fall, make sure you find out about the music festival. Over the years, we have seen Doobie bros, Dave Mason, Kenny Loggins, Heart, willie Nelson, Huey Lewis, Michael McDonald and many others. The wine is very... More

As a rule, I try to avoid these big, commercial wineries. I prefer small mom and pop wineries that give you personalized attention with no tasting fees, and usually arrange all of my winery visits in advance. That's not the case here. I had some time to kill before heading back to SFO for my flight home, and I was looking... More

Located on beautiful grounds, this winery is a must see in Sonoma. The wine is delicious and the tasting was fun as well. Garrett made sure to answer our questions, suggest additional tastings and make the entire experience enjoyable. Next door to the tasting room is their olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting room. Also delicious and a good addition... More
