We had a great time chatting with Mr Loxton and tasting his wine. It was barrel day and he had a lot going on, but still made time to talk to us and ask questions about where we were from. He has a lovely place. I would suggest you stop in and try some of his great wine.

This is a small production vineyard owned and operated by one man. The wines were great. I especially enjoyed the Dry Rose, Zinfandel, Syrah, and Port. Tastings were intimate and fun. $5 for six wines that is refundable with purchase. We bought several bottles for the extension of our trip in Yosemite.

Loxton was the 3rd stop on our wine tour with Platypus tour company and definitely my favorite. Our host was very friendly and gave us so much information about the grape growing process and made us laugh in the process. He really seemed to know his stuff. I would definitely recommend this winery to anyone coming to the area.

We have been to this winery a number of times and belong to the wine club. Chris makes the most fantastic Rose. I always buy a case for the summer. This is a must stop in Sonoma.

This was part of a bigger tour and was a treat. The owner was there and took time to show us the different areas of his vineyard, the winery, and had a ton of stories about small winemakers and what they have to deal with.

We only visited this winery based upon the recommendation of our innkeeper (Valerie at Hidden Oak Inn) - we truly would've driven right by, simply because it blends into the scenery! There is nothing flashy about this winery. What a treat this winery was - I liked ALL of the wines in the tasting. I don't normally care for chardonnay... More

I loved stopping by this small winery. Chris provided some an awesome experience. He took so much time with us explaining all his wines. I do not like port, but his is awesome. All the wine is in the barrels in the tasting room. Great fun and not to be missed.

This was a fun little winery and it was great talking to the owner, who is from Australia, but unfortunately my boyfriend and I didn't like the wine at all. Everyone's palate is different so I'm sure some like it, but we did not.

Stopped by this wonderful little winery suggested by out tour guide. The owner comes from generations of winemakers in Australia. Is very hands on and very welcoming. His Cab is excellent and has the only port I've ever liked. We were happy to purchase a few bottles and take them home, as he does not distribute beyond a few local... More
