My husband and I had a great experience at Benziger. We took the tour of the biodynamic vineyards and caves. We learned so much from our nice tour guide Terry. Bought some pretty awesome wines after a great tasting from our pourer Michelle. Benziger is not to be missed.

This was a fantastic informative tour. It includes a tour of parts of the property and vineyards, followed by the cellars and then into the tasting room. The wines were exceptional and the service was warm and friendly. I will be back and bringing friends!

This is the best wine tour of all... an enthusiastic guide who pulled us thru the vineyards on a tram. He even provided us with blankets as it was a cool day. The vineyard is beautiful, the staff is friendly, the tour is informative and the tasting room is fun. The wine was pretty good too! Don't miss this tour.... More

Just back from a trip to Sonoma, which is so much calmer and friendlier than the Napa valley. Our trip to Benziger was a standout - they practice biodynamic farming which is fascinating. Also means there are cows and sheep (the "wooly weeders") and an insectary, which I think would make it lots of fun for families. The tour of... More

Enjoyed the tour with this winery. Tram takes you into the vines, with stops for explanation and and discussion (yes, appropriate for kids). The stop to discuss green farming, composting and beneficial insects is fascinating. Next step is how grapes become wine, and then into the caves where the oak barrels are all silently, fragrantly doing their thing. We enjoyed... More

We were guests of Benziger club members and so received some extra attention at the tasting. The tour, with it's emphasis on Benziger's bio dynamic farming, was both interesting and fun. The wines were very good, particularly the Oonalpais (sp?) blend and the dessert wines, a muscat and a port. I left as a wine club member.

While we had a wonderful time in Sonoma, and I was really looking forward to visiting Benziger because it's a bio-dynamic winery, I confess this was my least favorite. While the property was beautiful, and the caves were nice to tour, I felt like herded cattle on this wine tour. It was very large, very commercial, very slam bam thank... More

It's an educational lesson. You'll learn how a winery can be sustainable.

This winery is about 15 minutes from Sonoma's city center and very easy to get to. It's perched within some hills and we took their tour of their caves, their vineyard, and their surroundings. Our guide was excellent. My wife and I were alone on the tour, but the guide did not waste any effort to explain clearly the significance... More
