This was our first winery tour, so it didn't take much to impress us. The tour provided a fascinating educational experience and we learned a lot. Although lesser known, we selected this winery because it is biodynamic certified, which is quite an accomplishment. The staff is friendly and family members are always walking about thanking you for visiting. Highly recommend... More

First, I should say the tour was interesting, wine good, and grounds pretty. Ok now for the wacky part. There were four of us and a couple from Seattle. They were a nice well mannered middle aged husband and wife, it was a semi private tour so it was just the six of us with the guide. I cannot remember... More

This is a family winery that is one of the only biodynamic wineries. It is absolutely beautiful, the staff and tour guides are very friendly and welcoming, and it is one of the only places you can take a tour of the grounds and vineyard, then go down to the wine cellar to see that process, then have a private... We selected this winery because we had read that it was a great tour if you were traveling with children. Our teenagers did enjoy this vineyard tour, maybe not quite as much as we did! It was great to learn about the process from ground to bottle. The wine cave was fun to see as well! The grounds and the... More

We went to Benziger for the tram tour because we heard it was the best winery tour in Sonoma. At $25 a person, I was really hoping it would be good, and it was awesome! We learned so much about biodynamic farming--it was fascinating. The caves where they store the barrels were cool to see as well. The gift shop... More

In one week, my husband and I visited thirteen wineries, in both Napa and Sonoma, and Benziger became one of our top two! The landscape is beautiful, and reminiscent of old-world farms with sheep roaming among the vines, and Scottish Highland cows in a pen. All of their wines are certified sustainable, organic or biodynamic. Not knowing the difference, our... More

My sister and I came up at the end of the afternoon; it was passed 16h30. Benziger staff welcomed us, although it was quite late. Staff was very pleasant especially Everett, who accompanied us for the tasting. We had so much fun during our experience; we laughed a lot and Everett did not hesitate to bring us one of their... If there were a Chamber of Commerce location, Bezinger is it. Nestled in between hillsides, this winery is absolutely gorgeous with the rolling hills. multiple slopes and numerous varietals. We showed up after going grabbing a sandwich in town and enjoyed the picnic area outside of the tasting room. Then we joined the tour which for the Partners tour $40,... More

After our morning tour of Muir Woods with the Incredible Adventures Eco-Tour company, our driver Chris brought us to this gorgeous family owned winery nestled in the rolling Glen Allen hills. This setting tops any I've seen in New Zealand, Australia, New York, or Pennslylvania; in fact, it resembled the wineries I remember from the Tuscany region of Italy. We... More

I booked a tour for 15 of us this past weekend, including 2 people under 21 and 2 adults who don't drink. We took the biodynamic tram tour and it was perfect. Even those didn't partake in the wine tasting at the end enjoyed the tram ride and the information. Benziger has a spacious tasting area and plenty of room... More
