There is a $5 fee to enter and I decided to pay even though there didn't seem to be much to see there. I was looking for somewhere to run that had some shade. I asked the two ticket booth people about this and got very unhelpful answers from each (two different sides of the park). The duck pond is... More

There is a place in Fresno where you will find enough ducks to feed alongside a beautiful lake. You may even want to bring a picnic for the family as well. That place is called Woodward Park, a lovely, spacious setting with enough room for everyone. Those who simply like to stroll can walk around the lake, while those who... More

My husband and I visited the Japanese Gardens and I loved the beautiful walkways, the bridge, and the pond. I love Koye fish. The fish are very friendly and I loved observing them swimming in the beautiful pond alongside the bridge. However, I wish that the gardens had a tea house for people to come to have tea and cookies.... More

We visit Woodward Park frequently. They have a fantastic mountain bike progressional park, suitable for beginning bike riders to experts. There is also a frisbee golf course, several ponds where we always see people fishing, fenced dog park, several pavilions and picnic areas, and kids play structures scattered throughout this multi acre regional park. There are numerous paved and dirt... More

Woodward park is just beautiful. Its has ponds with ducks so take your bread! Beautiful walking pathways, and not to mention the Japanese Gardens are located inside! Such an inexpensive way to bring the kids out for a picnic or bbq and enjoy nature. Most definitely one of my family's top places to enjoy! Have fun and wear comfy shoes... More

The Shinzen Japanese Garden is always first on my list at Woodward Park. It is magnificent all times of year, but especially Spring & Fall. Be sure & take a camera. Feed the Koi (food available there) & wander the paths & over the bridges. Events scheduled throughout the year. Beautiful venue for weddings. Great spots throughout the park for... More

A great place to walk your dog or yourself. The dog park can be fun but occasionally has too many aggressive dogs. The Eaton Trail or the walk to the river are both great.

The reason I only give Woodward Park an "average" rating is because there are no daily entertainment venue's... with one very nice Children's Playground in the north section and Frisbee Golf. You bring your own party/group/celebration to this park. The Japanese Tea Garden has rather limited hours and is an extra admission although very worthwhile. The Tea Garden is very... More

Woodward Park is a nice expanse of trees, trails, a lake, fields, picnic areas, and even a dog park. My wife and I enjoy riding our bicycles around the park. Occasionally we will sit by the lake for a peaceful quiet time. There are few large parks in Fresno, and this is probably the best overall considering its size, facilities,... More
