Woodward Park offers many ways to enjoy the outdoors. There's trails and pathways that are cool and shaded or open and sunny. There are many tables for a family picnic or areas force get togethers for large groups. The Japenese Garden is beautiful. There's a leash free dog park that is well attended. The multiple lakes, ponds and streams are... More

There is a $5 fee to enter and I decided to pay even though there didn't seem to be much to see there. I was looking for somewhere to run that had some shade. I asked the two ticket booth people about this and got very unhelpful answers from each (two different sides of the park). The duck pond is... More

There is a place in Fresno where you will find enough ducks to feed alongside a beautiful lake. You may even want to bring a picnic for the family as well. That place is called Woodward Park, a lovely, spacious setting with enough room for everyone. Those who simply like to stroll can walk around the lake, while those who... More

My husband and I visited the Japanese Gardens and I loved the beautiful walkways, the bridge, and the pond. I love Koye fish. The fish are very friendly and I loved observing them swimming in the beautiful pond alongside the bridge. However, I wish that the gardens had a tea house for people to come to have tea and cookies.... More

We visit Woodward Park frequently. They have a fantastic mountain bike progressional park, suitable for beginning bike riders to experts. There is also a frisbee golf course, several ponds where we always see people fishing, fenced dog park, several pavilions and picnic areas, and kids play structures scattered throughout this multi acre regional park. There are numerous paved and dirt... More

The Shinzen Japanese Garden is always first on my list at Woodward Park. It is magnificent all times of year, but especially Spring & Fall. Be sure & take a camera. Feed the Koi (food available there) & wander the paths & over the bridges. Events scheduled throughout the year. Beautiful venue for weddings. Great spots throughout the park for... More
