We were on a road trip and stopped in Fresno for lunch at the River Park Shopping Center then decided to take a walk at the park. We paid an entrance fee to get in, and then parked near the pond on the southeast side. We tried to walk around the pond but the sidewalks do not go very far.... More

This is a pleasant wide open location to bring the family or just a nice running, biking location. Each year the California National HS cross country championships are held so you know it is very neat. There are play areas the kids can play safely, a Japanese garden and summer time concerts and plays to enjoy. Large trees for shade... More

I ride the bicycle trails at Woodward Park towards Friant Dam. A very nice ride with a few small hills. A great place to spend some time alone or with another.

Woodward Park is one of Fresno California's all-time gems. They have a great walking trail, paved, 4 1/2 miles out and 4 1/2 back.... A great place for concerts. Beautiful amphitheater. Frisbee golf course Plenty of beauty abounds....One of my favorite spots in Fresno to go and be by myself....

Handicapped accessibility. Dog park, Japanese garden, gazebos for large groups, hiking, biking, bird watching and feeding wild birds, fire and barbeque pits and picnic tables. Great for those of all ages. Close to town, freeway accessible. Safe environment.

The $5 parking fee is well worth it for this lovely park. The geese will slow you down driving in the park, they know it's their park! We had such a nice time watching a couple feed the birds cheerios of all things! They shared their feed with my husband who enjoyed getting rid of the bully geese to let... More

We spent several hours at the park this morning just walking around the small lake, looking at the birds and trees. There is a $5 vehicle entrance fee. Bathrooms are available along with picnic tables and hiking paths. Nice to stay in the shade and walk around the lake.

I'm staying in Fresno while my husband is here for work, and Woodward Park seems to be Fresno's one redeeming quality, the one thing that might give it an edge over Bakersfield for the two cities' constant battle for worst place in California. Anyhow, Woodward Park has various trails weaving throughout the park. The grounds are well-kept, and I felt... More
