This is a great place for adventure or a lazy day picnic. Excellent areas for walking or riding bikes. The rolling trails allow for some good exercise!

Woodward Park is a great mid-state location for the California Interscholastic Federation Cross Country High School Finals every year. It is easy to watch the runners and cheer for them at several points along their course. It is a challenging but not terribly difficult course for high school cross country runners.

While Woodward Park is a wonderful community resource, we primarily visit the Japanese Garden on a regular basis. The new Bonsai exhibit is amazing in every season.

Woodward Park is one of our favorite parks. It has an excellent dog park, play areas for kids and extensive hiking trails. We have enjoyed it so much, we purchased a seasonal pass which has encouraged us to use the park frequently for walks and enjoyment with our dog.

We visit Woodward Park whenever we happen to go to Fresno. It is such a nice and tranquil spot in the city. Normally, walk around and feed the ducks, birds. Have visited the Japanese garden and love that. There are a bunch of peacocks hanging out around there. The park is quite popular with people of all ages and plenty... More

The Shinzen Friendship Garden is such a jewel, replete with several noisy and beautiful peacocks, the garden is a beautiful spectacle in any season. The camellia garden is my favorite, but, the large number of colorful Japanese maples give quite a show! The koi pond needs some cleaning and maintenance, but, the setting is beautiful and by far the best... More
