I haven't ridden in years and one never had. The staff was exceptional with getting us prepared and comfortable. Our trail guide, Angela, was very friendly and informative. She spoke of the local landscapes and area along the way. Our horses, Roller, a smallish Clydesdale, and Malega, the Queen, were both fun and easy to ride. The weather was perfect... More

The staff was friendly and very accommodating to your skill level. The trail was beautiful! This is a great trip for kids and adults. Hold out for a sunny day if possible!

I took my mom and i on a trip to fort bragg. While there we went to Ricochet ridge ranch to live one of our dreams, to ride a horse on the beach. The ranch workers were so nice helpful and very patient. The horses are so well trained and mine ( Natasha) seemed to enjoy the ride and beach... More

We went in the morning but not the first ride out. The safety video was informative. We had 9 riders of all types, those who had ridden and those who hadn't. We all had a lot of fun and it was beautiful riding along the beach.

We went at 4:00 and the horses just wanted to eat the grass on the way to the beach. A couple of the horses couldn't be next to each other and got very frisky and I feel off! Not sure why they put them together with us,when it was only the 4 of us riding, they should have used another horse.The... More

I'm sorry you fell off your horse, and very thankful you weren't badly hurt. Although the 4 horses being ridden on your trail ride have been doing this together for many years uneventfully, sometimes animals can act unpredictably. I do hope your next horse riding experience is more fun for you! More

We went on a 1.5 hour morning ride to the beach in a group of 6. All of the horses were easy to ride, and clearly well cared-for. There was an odd, old instructional video at the beginning before our ride, with way too many details, which made me concerned that the upcoming ride wasn't going to be very fun... More

Enjoyed a really fun and informative ride on the beach. I would do this again! Very professional company and it shows in how they care for their horses.

I've ridden with Ricochet Ridge Ranch on several all day rides and have always enjoyed it immensely. Vida has always been a fantastic guide chock full of info and pleasant conversation and made sure both riders and horses were well looked after. I've traveled extensively and riding through the Redwoods with Ricochet Ridge Ranch and Vida was up there with... More

I started horseback riding when I was a kid back in the Midwest on my Grandparent's farm... and then in the military in Italy on the beaches at the top of the boot. I'm way out there and beyond, in terms of age, but I still enjoy going for it! Fortunately, my daughter found the Ricochet Ridge Ranch when she... More

I'm super glad your second ride with us was again super fun! And Kiddo, I think riding horses helps keep us young. A woman once rode with us for a week when she was 97 years young... so you and I have lots to look forward to, eh? Lari More

We went riding horses on the beach using a Groupon for Ricochet Ranch. We watched a video for about 15 min on the basics of horse mounting, steering, etc. Our instructor Vida was awesome. She talked about all the local attractions, info on the horses, the real estate market, and anything else we fired at her. We loved the scenery... More
