OK, the location is AMAZING- RIGHT on the ocean- the waves crash and you feel the mist.
Plus there are sheep. I LOVE sheep!!!
The woman who owns it and her partner are irreverent, super chill, super knowledgeable, and completely lacking in pretention.
The wine is awesome. We were possibly the only remaining non-wine club members in the entire Bay...

Living close to Napa Valley, I frequently enjoy wine tasting. But one of the things that Napa is quickly losing is that friendly, low-key atmosphere of what what tasting used to be. Pacific Star Winery is a great find in an unlikely place. North of Fort Bragg, the winery is located right on the ocean with a fabulous view. There...

Drove all the way to their 'tasting room' barn. Not a great road, and 15 miles from town. The owner was a stingy snob, and her wines weren't all that great. I didn't buy any of her wine, and would NEVER go back. Visit at your own distaste....

Fun tasting room and just a 5.00 wine tasting fee makes this a good value as we tasted a dozen good wines and were entertained by Marcus behind the wine bar. Left with a few good bottles of wine and I even bought a baseball cap to...

I visited the Pacific Star Winery at the suggestion of another winemaker on my solo trip of the coast and redwoods. The tasting room manager was delightful and knowledgeable about the wines. My favorite wine is the Charbono. Just a very small number of acres of this delicious, ancient wines being crafted today. The picnic area sits atop an ancient...
