Visit this wonderful, beautiful place that's worth the fairly steep admission price. The website tells you in great detail what's blooming in a particular season. The garden is well laid out, signage is easy to follow, docents are plentiful. You can picnic there -- and even get married. Many sections are wheelchair-accessible -- and with certain restrictions, the garden allows... More

I couldn't believe how much there was to see on what I thought was a tiny plot of land! It is not tiny. There were fascinating trails taking off everywhere and I only got to explore a small fraction of them. The Rhododendrons were beautiful!. I can't wait to come back and explore some more. More

This was so much more than I expected. The Botanical Gardens are large but easy to walk through and well signed. This time of year, the Rhoda's are absolutely glorious - so colorful and huge - you'll take way too many pictures :) And what an extra added benefit - their are trails that easily lead to magnificent views of... We visit this botanical garden every time we are in the Mendocino area. It is well arranged with lots of trail markers so you cannot get lost and everywhere you look are beautiful flowers and trees. There are wonderful trails that take you onto the headlands where you can catch sight of seabirds, Osprey, and (in season) migrating whales. Some... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this very natural area, which is wonderful for walking, or just sitting. On site is a Garden Store and Nursery where one can purchase different plants. More

We saw the Rhododendrons and they were at their best. All of the different gardens were special. You can get lunch there also and don't miss the ICECREAM that was the best. More
