If you are looking to see a wonderful expression of the Russian River Valley or Sonoma Coast AVA experience Hartford House fits nicely. High end to slightly pretentious, but in the end a great experience. The staff is well schooled in the HH products, as well as, the hot spots in the local area. The graduation of their wines is... This may not be as popular as some but the wines are excellent--that special Russian River chardonnay taste and great zins and pinot noirs... and the setting is lovely. At certain times of the year they will even bring in lunch for you. We found this a nice respite from many of the touristy-high pressure wineries we visited with lots... More

The building and setting help make California "our France". The wine is outstanding and the service on our visit was attentive and cheerful. Not inexpensive.

We were fortunate to arrive when they weren't too busy and enjoyed the wine, the surroundings and a delicious port. Having just been to Portugal, it was a pleasant surprise.

This winery is in a lovely setting and they have great wines. The wines are expensive but worth it if you like zins and pinots

I thought the wines here were good, but not the best. The tasting room and barrels are in a house type setting. Outside the patio is nice and clean and a great place to have some food and a bottle of wine. I enjoyed their Chard the most I think over the Pinots they were pouring.

We did a wine tasting at Hartford. Amazing time. We randomly tried one of their wines in a restaurant at Half Moon Bay a few days before getting to the wine country. We sought out the winery. It is off the beaten path but well worth the time. The staff was amazing, the grounds and winery are beautiful and the... More

Found this by chance on our way to Armstrong redwood preserve. It was before lunch and we had Tosha to ourselves. She was very friendly and informative. We only bought two bottles but in hindsight should have bought more. Love their Pinot noir! You can always order online. Will go again next time in the area. Very nice grounds.

Hartford Family Winery presents any number quality wines and considering the price point...well worth enjoying. Their Pinot Noir is my favorite and goes well with a meal or just enjoying company.

This was the worse tasting experience in our many years of wine tasting! The setting was beautiful and it stops here..... The staff was distant, cold and totally uninterested in offering a pleasant experience. They rushed us through the tasting giving barely a description of the wines they were pouring. The wines were over priced compared to other wineries in... More
